Mr. Ribs BBQ Sayulita - 63734 Sayulita

Don’t go; half of our group got food poisoning after our dinner there. Would not recommend.

Not only did I get food poisoning from the ribs we had last night, now my wife has it too! Don't go there!

Zero stars. I have lived in Sayulita for 2 years and eaten at pretty much every restaurant and bar in town in that time and this is the only place I would NEVER go back to again or recommend to anyone. The food and server were both okay, but I have allergies and asked for salad or veggies instead of fries and coleslaw as a side with my ribs bc I'm allergic to both and he told me no problem. Then he ended up charging us $8 cdn dollars for a side of veggies that he agreed to swap for the coleslaw and potatoes and said it was his boss that made him do it (I don't think it was the server's fault but that doesn't redeem the place, only makes it worse that the owner offers such low customer service). Before charging he could have in the very least come back and said sorry we cant swap out your allergic foods for lettuce or vegetables and will have to charge you more than a typical meal in Sayulita for a few overly oiled veggies. But that didn't happen. They also don't accept credit cards, which you would expect at a  taqueria but not at a chain restaurant in Mexico, and they charge you an exchange rate of 17 to 1, when the going rate is 20 to 1. I've chosen Sayulita as my home because of the warm, honest, friendly locals, and I would say avoid this place bc its the one place in town that is dishonest and not worth the price by any means! I've never written a bad review online but it was my parents last night in town visiting me and it just left a bad taste in our mouth and I want to help others avoid making the same mistake of going there. With so many wonderful places in Sayu why go there?!? Never again.

Probably the worst restaurant i have ever been in my life. The workers are clueless souls that can’t care less about serving you or even giving you the right bill. They serve basically undercooked rotten meat. The entire operation looks like money laundering business where everyone is pretending to be working.

I wish I was reading the reviews before I went there. Let's make it short- the food is not good, not tasty, feels old. The fries was old. The chicken breast, and I'm sorry,I'm privileged to sit in a restaurant, but it just wasn't good. Not eatble. And the highlight: my wife wanted rise with cheese, a Mexican thing. She didn't like either, and only for that dish we wanted fries instead. I'm quiting the waitress: " sorry you feel like that, but we will charge you on it anyway because you tried it already". The smoke I had from my ears. Mr Ribs in Sayulita, if you read this- THE CUSTOMER IS MOST OF THE TIME RIGHT OK????? Work on your dishes and your customer service. There are many good restaurants in Sayulita, this one is def not one of them. Go somewhere else and don't get confused by the look of the restaurant.

So amazing! I am an American in Sayulita for one day. We ordered way to much food, and everything was perfect. Reading the other reviews, they were either Americans who were to stupid to not eat the (very beutifull) salad, because it is washed in local water that we cant handle. Americans cant handle local water, dont blame the food. Its not a resort restaurant. The other reviews sound like locals mad at the competition. The wood fired oven is awesome, they food tastes just perfect. I grew up in Texas and love bbq. This place is spot on

We just ate here last night and had great food and service. We had a 1/2 rack of ribs each, garlic and BBQ. We also started with the cheese fondue. Everything was excellent and plentiful. For $50CAN including drinks, it was a great deal.

We had really great food and a good experience here. They weren't supposed to be open for another 30 minutes, but after seeing that we tried another place that was inattentive and slow, they told us to come on in, which we really appreciated. The drinks were tasty and the food was delicious. The server was a really nice guy and funny. Judging by previous reviewers pictures, it looks like some changes were made for the better. I'd go here again if we're in Sayulita.
