Mr. Ribs San Pancho - 63729 San Francisco

This was the worst dining experience in San Pancho, and though I love the town, I wouldn't consider San Pancho a culinary hub, so this is saying a lot. First: it looks like something pulled directly out of an American Strip Mall, "Suburban America now available in your local Mexican town!". Second: To no one's surprise (ref: American Strip Mall) the ribs are smothered in a sauce of your choice. The meat is really just a vehicle for sauce. Third: The Mr. Ribs Jimmy Buffet cover band. A bunch of expats (I can only assume individuals who have a personal interest in Mr. Ribs being financially prosperous?) wearing Mr. Ribs gear, singing Margaritaville and asking for tips, was just too much for me to bear (Clarification: slightly demanding tips:"didn't you enjoy the music?!"- this may shock you, but your music actually just compounded the negative experience I was already having). With all that said, their staff (mostly nationals) are super nice and accommodating, truly exemplary and I have only the best to say about my experience with them All in all, it's my fault. I should not have patronized this establishment to begin with. All the signs were there. But I did. And all I can do is leave this review in hopes that I can spare another soul. Also, they don't accept card - there must be some tax dodging play here if the tiny coffee shops accept card, and the most expensive restaurant in San Pancho does not.

Best BBQ ribs I had in a while, also had some bone marrow and recently had their Angus 16 oz rib eye steak which was hella delicious and juicy, they have good mojitos too...

The best ribs and one of the best meals we have had between sayulita and San Pancho. Get the mixto fajitas too. Muy muy delicioso!

I hate leaving bad reviews but were here last night and both me and my wife were sick in the morning... I believe they cook the meat in the afternoon and serve it all day and by the night some of it might go bad as it is reheated. Otherwise the service and drinks were great.

The ribs were perfect! One rack is plenty for two people! We also had the queso with chorizo which was served with thin flour tortillas.Delicious!

Food tastes great. Mr. Ribs has now changed their name to Cenizas. I wish the portions were larger and they would accept credit cards for payment. They only take cash and are one of the higher priced restaurants in San Pancho, resulting in spending really fast the cash exchange funds.

Very very good food! The reason for my 3 stars is the service, took forever to get the drinks like 30 minutes the the food took really long too. Nobody ever came back to ask if we needed more drinks or if the food was good. The place is way understaffed on the top floor.

Has changed its name from Mr Ribs to Zenzas. Great attentive staff, really good food and drinks. We went back several times during our ten day stay in San Pancho. Highly recommended!
