★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noice that the local guides are posting the positives. Mundo Maya is worse than a tourist trap - it borders on thievery. If you do not know (or are sure) of the MX dollar to EURO or dollar you are well and thoroughly screwed. I am embarrassed by how much I lost but please beware or better yet walk on by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of souvenirs and local crafts, but you can get much better prices elsewhere if you're willing to walk to the local markets. If you need last-minute gifts or souvenirs and don't have the time, it's a decent place to go.

Seems to be an organized tourist-scam. Local people in the city, who speak English, pretend to be nice, give you tips and recommend the store. The selection in the store is good and great, but the prices are a rip-of and the salespeople lie to you about the real quality.
It’s fraud!
