Mura House - 77710 Playa del Carmen

Great !!!!!!!!

I had made reservations 2 weeks prior and when we got there they sat us at a regular table . I told them that i had made reservations for 2 weeks prior and wanted to sit at the hibachi. They said i had to specify on the reservation that i wanted that or my host should have made the reservation. It was our anniversary and my hubby's birthday as well . The hostess was VERY rude about it and she didn't care at all !! The managers came over to explain that we should have known and that it was a very simple process if we had just payed attention. Well im sorry, but there was no place on the app that you could request at hibachi, i just assumed we would het to sit at one .We were NOT happy with the service and the food was just ok .

This is the Susi / Asian inspired restaurant inside of UNICO. Lots of options although we pretty much only ate the sushi while we ate here. The restaurant has a good atmosphere that makes it feel like you are eating out in a Japanese sushi place not a restaurant that is attached to the hotel. The Saki was ok but everything else was great!

Mura House was excellent. We are so glad we got a reservation here the first night of our stay because we have now scheduled several more visits during our week. Mario has been our server for the first two visits and he was excellent. On our 2nd visit he remembered that my partner was gluten free and promptly accommodated with gf soy sauce and helped us customize gf options. We have tried several sushi rolls, appetizers, and entries-all of which have been excellent.

Had Mario as our server and both he and the food were excellent! The last review I saw for Mura House also name dropped him and I could not give higher commendations. The food was a little on the spicy side for my wife, but if you like Sushi it was a great experience
