★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The murals are amazing. I wouldnt suggest walking through here though. We did and were approached twice by altered people and even followed for a while. Take the local double decker tour bus. You get the same experience but it's safer.

I Ubered to the area and upon arriving the driver suggested I reconsider my plan. The neighborhood was unwelcoming and the mercadito nearby seemed to be for locals only.
Probably better off with a group or guide.
