Orozco murals in the auditorium are very impressive. Outside the auditorium is a video monitor with English subtitles that explains the muralist's ideas. Currently there is also an interesting photo exhibit. Second floor is closed.

I am not an artistic person whatsoever, so all I can say is nice building. Small, but for me more than enough art to see

A must see in GDL for art lovers. This place is a gem for serious art aficionados. The building itself is an architectural gem. I was so glad that I got to visit this place during my brief stay in GDL. I got exposed to an artist named Leonora Carrington ! I had never heard of her nor recall seeing her artwork in Europe or US. The MUSA was having a special exhibit on her. The museum has very interesting collection from mild to spicy. The building is well maintained and cared for. If I am not mistaken even there was no admission fee!! Thanks MUSA staff and management on job well done.

They have fancy and not logical rules if you like to visit. They ask you to turn around your cap for security reason at the entrance. Next guide tells you to take it off. Same for small backpacks. Men need to wear them in the front, but women are allowed to keep their big bags whereever they want. Sounds unreasonable and no one was able to explain. Nevertheless nice art.

A small but wonderful museum. Two floors plus the Orozco mural in the theater. Entry is free, donations are recommended.

We had the opportunity to visit the expo "En casa con mis monstruos" that is about the work and collection of Guillermo García del Toro. At the end of the 2 and half guided tour we were so pleased and happy with all the things we got to see. It is a really vast expo, divided in three, his work, his personal collection and a lot of the art that has inspired him throughout the years. The place looks so pretty and it has the right atmosphère. The guides were nice and helpful and the lobby at the beginning was very cute, overall we were very happy with everything, it's worth seeing and taking the time to see everything.

One of the many free things to do in Guadalajara. Great museum with a mixture of contemporary and classic art and sculpture. One of the most stunning classical architecture in Guadalajara. As it’s the old university, there’s a lot of graduation ceremonies held there. Definitely add this to one of the places to visit as part of your sightseeing

We went to see the Leonora Carrington exhibition and it was really great! At the moment there is no entry fee just a donation. There were various fascinating exhibitions of different mediums. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the historical centre of Guadalajara! The shop also has lots of lovely bits for anyone looking for souvenirs!
