★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The birthplace of Frida Kahlo Rivera. Buy tickets online in advance (which we were suggested by our host), the GA line can be brutal. Expect to spend at least an hour here, the museum is pretty thorough on getting people through since the visits are scheduled for so many people every half hour. Also, get the pass to photos because there is so incredible artifacts here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For us it was the reason for visiting Coyoacán. If you want to avoid queueing and get in early book on line a week ahead. If the Kahlo/Rivera scene isn’t your thing the quiet gardens and surprisingly good little cafe might make it worthwhile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really interesting museum for the late Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, with a lot of their paintings, sculptures, diary entries and photographs. Highly recommend buying tickets online (214 pesos including service fee), as the lines can be over 1hr wait. You also need to purchase separate pass to take photos, which is annoying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was quite impressive that they keep Frieda’s house like this way. Her pieces and looking around the blue house was interesting as a frieda’s fan. Good garden and many photo spots. One thing sad was line was too long. But We bought a ticket online there and waited way less than we should’ve. (But they charge us extra for online reservation. The staff who explained online reservation didn’t mention about it at all. ??)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too many people, but absolutely lovely. Totally recommend to book tickets in advance! You can pay $30 pesos extra to take photographs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although most of her more famous paintings are displayed in other museums, seeing her home, studio, and personal effects along with some of her beautiful works (both finished and unfinished) was a wonderful experience. There are a few of Diego Rivera's works and some of his things as well. The home also contains Frida's death mask and Diego's ashes. It costs extra to be able to photograph the home, $30MX (pretty cheap in USD). Make sure to buy tickets online in advance, because they are not available at the museum itself and you'll be very disappointed. Also, your ticket will cover admission to the Diego Rivera museum if you choose to visit there. Don't miss it!
