★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not too much to see. Lot of plastic copies of different artifacts. Information screens are out of order. But lot of interesting to read about history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Jade Death Mask alone is worth the visit. The explanations about the various artifacts, multimedia presentations are also very good. Spend about 30-70 minutes here (inside) and about 45 minutes on top of it whilst taking pictures. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great museum, with both English and Spanish writing. Francisco gave us a fantastic tour, so informative and we started looking at the ruins in a completely different way after Francisco explained us all the symbolism behind every figure. Mind-blowing! Thanks Francisco!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced with 50 pesos for such a small museum with a rather poor collection. Only few interesting items. Falls short in appeal relative to the similar museums in the country. Can be skipped.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little museum that explains the differences in 4 Mayan styles that can be found in the state of Campeche. Worth mentioning is that there is AC in the museum

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good value & quality exhibits. There are some very special Mayan artifacts here. Many displays are in both Spanish and English and they also include Mayan language. We visited the museum after our trip to Calakmul, which made the artifacts and information even more relatable. The museum is the perfect spot for a cool, quiet retreat on a hot day; we stayed for about an hour and a half (including the time spent walking the wall above the museum).
