★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited here on 6/4/21. At this time the museum was partially opened. It was under maintenance. We were only allowed to enter 1/6 rooms. I still give this place 5 stars due to its amazing collection!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They’re under construction and only had one exhibit open during our visit. Even the sculpture garden was closed which was a bummer. The gift shop was a little cart outside before you enter the museum (I assume because of the construction).
If you’re a teacher, student, or senior, you get free admission.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most of it was under construction today (January 2021).. didn't really find something worth seeing. Maybe just the Belkin and Lenero..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful pieces and at times disturbing. Not suitable for young children. The only downfall was that the sculpture grounds were closed due to renovations/maintenance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely museum but only two rooms open. Also they were only able to accept cash, this may be temporary but be prepared to pay in cash.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the sculpture outside and interior of the building and pieces on a display. Not very big but spread in 2 buildings and outside . Definitely worth a visit. Only cost about $80 -85 pesos and can be bought over the counter near the entrance ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we visited there were only two salons open, and a small fraction of the gardens. A little disappointing, hopefully when you read this it’s more open.
What I saw was very intriguing and thought provoking. A very cool exhibition documenting the period of 1975 to 1995 - there was a massive earthquake in CDMX in ‘85 which wiped out thousands of buildings in the city and had a major impact on the art of the era.
I also saw a fabulous exhibit which contextualized the current COVID-19 pandemic with other works of other modern periods of change and upheaval. A very well thought out and timely project which I hope other galleries attempt elsewhere.
The building itself is very cool, with a wonderful domed ceiling. I’ve posted some highlights of my visit to this review.
I recommend the museum. Current state budget 90mins max for your visit, we did ours in about 60.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I throughly enjoyed my time at this moma, an afternoon well spent. I visited on a Sunday so admission was free. I found both the interior architecture and the art to be compelling.
The scope of the featured exhibitions was enough to be filling without overwhelming. It took me less than a few hours to make my rounds. I especially appreciated the exhibition on the history of feminist artistic work in Mexico.
I know Mexico City offers so much artistic inspiration, but this museum is definitely worth a visit.
