Like any Museum of Natural History, the place lets you appreciate animals that many times we would not know in person, the "curiosities" that it has are for the morbid ones, eye.

Excellent collection of specimens, very well preserved, the entrance is free and there is a great variety of species.

It is closed and is still being remodeled, only the galleries of the University of Guanajuato are open. 03/27/22

I had never seen a museum so fatherly and beautiful. My father told me about him, he said that when he was my age he was very well preserved and today, almost 30 years later, I see that he is very well taken care of. It is very interesting, striking and they have a wide range of stuffed animals, I managed to see a guide who explained how was the process of dissected, and how they got many species there. It is free although if you pay to enter. It belongs to the University of Guanajuato, which makes it inside the central building. It is not seen with the naked eye and it is necessary to ask at the reception to be able to enter. I think it's a museum that everyone should visit, it's not too late, it's really small, it's four rooms and it takes between 30-40 minutes, it depends a lot on each person. It is not recommended for very young children (6 down) because they may be scared and want to leave quickly. I liked it a lot and I hope to visit it in about 5 more years and see what new features have added.
