The former convent of the Capuchin nuns. Here was born the idea of building our Aqueduct and years later was prison of Maximilian Emperor

Great place to find modern art exhibitions, the building itself its a piece of art, feel free to visit every corner, you may find a play or a photo exhibition. Enroll in the several courses like music, writing, poetry, painting and more. $5.00 (Sometimes), Only cash

This place is ok, tours at night must be terrifying as it looks gloomy. There's music, theatre and installation performances almost every single day, so you will not get bored. Probably if you want to present something here, you should actually think about all the stuff you should bring with you as the organisation does not always provide what is needed.

This place is more of an active, contemporary art museum that is unafraid of showcasing the unique and unusual. Not all of the exhibits are superlative, but there are definitely gems that can be found amongst the hidden back rooms of this old converted monastery. My admission late on a Sunday was free, and the experience was worth much more than that.

This is a place that demonstrates the type of buildings in the Centro Histórico. They rotate the exhibitions of the first floor, while the top floor is all about the construction of the temple and it's convertion into a museum. It is free every Sunday. There is also a mummy on the top floor.

So this isn’t a museum about Queretaro city, it’s a modern art museum in an a ramshackle old building. Some exhibits are quite creative, though there isn’t much in the way of explanation (and what there is is in Spanish only). It’s free and worth a visit if you’re into modern art.
