★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "El Museo de la Cultura Mexica es un recinto localizado en el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México. Fue construido durante la época colonial del país, encima de las ruinas de la civilización mexica, que existió en estas tierras hace siglos. Esta tribu fue esclavizada, masacrada, y robada del territorio para hacer paso a los conquistadores: los muros que edifican el museo fueron hechos con las mismas rocas que formaron templos antiguos y sagrados; rocas manchadas con la sangre de la civilización indígena, que originalmente fundó esta ciudad. Muchos vestigios de dicha civilización co-existen con el entorno cotidiano, y el ritmo acelerado de la Ciudad: Las ruinas del Templo Mayor (reliquia vecina de nuestro museo, ¡que puedes visitar con tu mismo boleto de acceso!) y otros sitios arqueológicos cercanos, son atractivos turísticos muy populares. Se sabe que muchas importantes ruinas sagradas siguen enterradas bajo las calles por las cuales diariamente circulan miles de personas, y nunca han vuelto a ser tocadas, desde hace siglos. Muchas personas afirman que el área está colmada de santuarios, restos humanos, apariciones espectrales, tesoros, e incluso, una puerta a otra dimensión: todo en espera de ser descubierto. Grandes hallazgos hechos durante la era moderna de la Ciudad de México, cuando la urbe creció, dando paso a obras de construcción de nuevos inmuebles y servicios, parecen confirmar, al menos, hasta cierto punto, tantos siglos de folclor y leyendas: la mayoría de las piezas que verás en nuestra exhibición forman parte de dichos hallazgos, realizados a lo largo de la Historia de la ciudad, y tienen un valor incalculable para nuestra nación.
