We thought is just museum but it turn out to my favorite restaurant. We stopped there twice in our trip. We ordered some drink and not able to order any meal before 11am, so we come back and check out for lunch again. The food is fabulous. And the Aqua de Chaya(green drink) is the best in town, must try.

The best part of this restaurant is certainly the genuine Merida style courtyard where you can have a pleasant dinner in plein air. Delicious cocktails, an appreciable variety of wines and the food is tasty and well prepared. The worst part of this place is the welcome desk, disorganized and a bit unwelcoming where 5-6 ladies ask you to wait on the side of the entrance without having barely idea of the table shifts or even the approximate timing of the next table to be released. Booking is highly recommended!

On a Sunday night on Merida, not all places to have dinner are open. Also it is difficult to find taxis. This restaurant was about 12 blocks from the hotel. After waiting about 15 minutes for a taxi to appear, we decided to walk. The temperature was perfect, as it had rained during the afternoon, reducing the Mérida heat. The restaurant was an old house in the center of town, with the typical galleries and center garden with trees. They kept all trees, however covered the earth with cement, so tables and chairs could be placed. The restaurant has excellent typical local food, and if you have a party of 4 you can share 4 different dishes and tastes. This is a must visit place.

7/10 - Content, but no flavors or experiences exceeding the less pricey and well-published establishments in the area. Their menu is deep and has a great selection, but beware if you are vegetarian. I estimate 10% of the dish options are vegetarian. I ordered two "starter" items. The food arrived quickly and in an attractive delivery. Everything was well dressed. 1. Panuchos. 9/10 - Great dish. It isn't too heavy. It was a little too greasy, but I didn't mind. 2. Mukbil Pollo Enterrado. 6/10 - nothing good nor bad about it. It was bland and felt like a blend of every Yucatan dish I've eaten in Merída. It had one flavor I now call "Merída". The service was good and the staff was very attentive. Lovely outdoor seating. I gave the place a +1 point for the outdoor seating. Beautiful. Probably made everything taste +1 better than it would have in a different restaurant. I hope this helps. If you are looking for Merida food options I have left several Merida food reviews you can see on my profile.

Don’t miss Museo de la Gastronomía Yucatan for the most incredible and authentic meal you can imagine in Merida! We had the sampler of authentic, native dishes and it was incredible. The cocktails were off the charts. To top it all off, a very friendly wait staff. Most importantly, an excellent vibe all around.

Authentic Yucatan restaurant. The decor is beautiful and the vibe was amazing. We were very full so we didn’t order much. But I love the sopa de Lima! Very flavorful lime soup with shredded turkey. Drinks were delicious too.

Although it is a restaurant for tourists, the ambiance is great. Waiters are friendly and enjoyable. The food is exquisite and prices are a little above average, but it is worth it. One more thing: if they say the sauce is hot, the sauce IS HOT! No reason to doubt it. ?

Excellent Mexican, Yucatan restaurant. Good selection of food. They cook very tasty food. Portions are normal sizes. Good price. Attentive staff. There are English speaking waiters. Very pleasant atmosphere. Nice Latin American music. Great place and great value for money!
