★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very cool place to visit. Walking back in the mine was a real treat. There's a lot to see and a lot to learn about the history of the area. They don't like you taking photos inside the museum itself, which disappointed me. But outside and in the mine, they allow photos. There is an astounding collection of crucifixes here. Walking through the mining operation, seeing the wall murals and everything else the place offers was great. There's also a little gift shop and the snack bar

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place. You'll need about two hours to walk around the museum/mine. There is no entrance fee but at the end they'll ask you for a donation to keep the place running. It's a guided tour inside the mine, areas of operations, a museum, and a snack/souvenir store. Great place to visit with family, specially kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reading all the superlative reviews, perhaps it was my fault to have held great expectations. I had hoped for a visit to the depths of the actual mine rather than a rather boring guided visit through the museum that held some old tools and a few rocks. Thankfully the tour lasted just under an hour although felt much longer. A donation of 20 peso per head is suggested by them at the end of the tour. I cannot understand the rule of not allowing any photos or videos in the museum, not that I felt inclined to do so anyways. The gift shop and cafetaria were equally uninspiring. Wearing a jacket recommended as the area is quite chilly. Dont travel too far just to visit this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An abandoned gold mine, that back in early 1900's was one of the most important in the world. Now an interesting museum that is a must stop to anyone who enjoys getting out from the ordinary; moreover, there isn't a fee only a voluntary donation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place to see. No tours in English, but we had a wonderful experience. The tour guide was very nice, and they were very friendly.
The drive down there was a little crazy, but totally worth it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This museum has been beautifully done. Old mining equipment is not only on display in an educational way in the museum, but has also been turned into works of art throughout the grounds. Our guide (Eric Miranda, San Miguel) was knowledgeable and told us many stories from the mining days.
