★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Proyecto aún en crecimiento pero no por eso poco atractivo, una actividad sana y de concientización ambiental local que todos deberíamos de tomar. El lugar es muy fácil de ubicar y llegar a el no representa ningún problema, a escasos 200 metros de la carretera principal, si se viaja en transporte público, o directamente se llega hasta la puerta del lugar en vehículo particular. La cita fue a las 10am previa reservación, la plática inició a las 10:30am, hablan sobre el proyecto y los trabajos que se realizan, posteriormente, te invitan a un recorrido por el museo en donde te ilustran con las diferentes especies endémicas y por último información sobre las tortugas. Terminando el recorrido te invitan a salir y participar en la liberación de tortugas, te comentan la metodología a seguir y los cuidados a tener. Le dan una tortuguita a cada visitante para luego dirigirse a la playa y liberarlas. El staff siempre muy amable y profesional, nada mal para un proyecto aún en construcción e integrado por personas de la comunidad. Si tienes la posibilidad y la suerte de coincidir con la temporada de liberación es una actividad que seguro querrás hacer.
Project still growing but not unattractive for that, a healthy activity and local environmental awareness that we should all take. The place is very easy to locate and getting to it is not a problem, just 200 meters from the main road, if you travel by public transport, or directly to the door of the place in a private vehicle. The appointment was at 10am prior reservation, the talk began at 10:30am, they talk about the project and the work that is being done, later, they invite you to a tour of the museum where they illustrate you with the different endemic species and why latest information on turtles. At the end of the tour they invite you to go out and participate in the release of turtles, they tell you about the methodology to follow and the care to be taken. They give each visitor a little turtle and then go to the beach and release them. The staff is always very friendly and professional, not bad for a project still under construction and made up of people from the community. If you have the opportunity and luck to coincide with the release season, it is an activity that you will surely want to do.
