★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice little museum with your typical rocks, minerals and some replica fossils on display. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and your dig rocks (pun very much intended).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is such a hidden gem! The entry has a beautiful classic architecture. At first glance, the museum appears to be just a little room. But after you pay the 20 pesos and go in, you discover that there are doors that lead to more rooms which have hallways to more rooms which have stairwells to more rooms! It is really an adventure just to explore the place. The main floor has a seemingly endless array of sparkling minerals, mysterious rocks, and beautiful stones. Once you find the stairwell downstairs, you'll get to interact with a number of machines that teach about geology. Admittedly, the museum is a bit out of date. The downstairs technology seems from a decade ago, and the exhibits refer to places like Czhechoslavakia, but if you enjoy beautiful marble and crystals, you'll enjoy this museum that is far from the beaten museum path for tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great geology Museum. Tons of artifact from everywhere in the world. Every rock and mineral imaginable. They even have a respectable collection of meteorites. And don't miss the interactive exhibits downstairs. There's a great rock wall simulation of a cross-section of Earth. It's small enough to stand in touch, but large enough to accurately depict strata and intrusions and sediment and everything else.
The building that houses this museum is also fantastic. Beautiful old architecture.
The only thing I would change is to add more specific Mexico City geology exhibits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building has a gorgeous arquitectural style of traditional older buildings you will find in this neighborhood. The entrance also shows there are collections upstairs which were sadly closed during my visit. The main room looks a bit small until you explore the adjacent rooms all with their own themes derived from stones, crystals and fossils. You would never think such an outstanding collection can be this well hidden.
