Small museum but has some fantastic collections of art. Both the temporary and permanent exhibitions are worth seeing. It's easy to miss the location of this museum- as you're looking up at that big blue monastery/church from the alley-like street, it is the building to the left.

Small, nice museum with great art collections. On the second floor, you can see the Monumento al Pipila from afar.

Small, yet very interesting museum of mexican (mostly) contemporary art. The first level of the museum is a rotating exhibition dedicated to handicrafts & mexican popular art, second level consists of a small chapel & a religious popular art exhibit, which stays the same. The third level consist of a rotating exhibition of contemporary art from mexican & foreign artists. A small jewel in this city. My favourite museum in the city.

Diverse representation of 20th century Mexican and Latin American painters. the modern works featured on the third floor was most impressive. collection housed in a small colonial building; if memory serves, a former convent. not crowded. recommended!

This museum has a cheap entrance (25pesos / 1euro) and depending on the exhibitions, you can spend a really nice moment ! The building in itself is quite nice, with a huge painting of a famous local painter (who also painted walls of the Alhondiga de Granaditas), located in a sort of Chapel. You can also spot the Pipila from there ! Temporary exhibitions are generally quite good, and change every semester.

This is very beautiful museum. The building has three floors and it's color with beautiful colors. The museum has historical paintings and artifacts from the region of Guanajuato. I don't remember how much you have to pay, but it was not expensive. If you need time to kill, then you need to visit this museum.
