L	Lucero Chavez on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you come to Zacatecas, you should visit this museum, Rafael Coronel was brother to Pedro Coronel, and although the main attraction of this museum are the mask collection, there’s still plenty of other collections to see. It used to be a seventh teen century convent by Franciscan monks and its been restore bit by bit. There’s a collection of Diego’s Rivera incursion into arquitecture, several blue print of Anahuacalli house ( where he store his personal prehispanic art collection). Ruth Rivera was wife of Rafael Coronel that’s why they held several things from Diego Rivera. They also have a mexican poppet collection. Industry which has entirely disapear. They also have several pieces from India that Rafael collected in his life. Visit it!! It wont disappoint!!

I wish the museum had more descriptions about the beautiful expositions and its employees were more informative. I asked a few basic questions and they were no able to answer, but I have to say, all the staff was very polite and welcoming. During my visit the museum had a en exposition from India with beautiful pieces that other way I would never be able to appreciate. I also was invited to sign a guest book and noticed that the museum is visited by foreign tourists, it will be great if the museum includes brief description of its pieces in order lenguajes. This museum is a gem in the enchanting city of Zacatecas Mexico.
