Lugar dedicado a la cultura, promoción y conservación de las artes plásticas y visuales, difusor del acervo municipal, en donde se realizan exhibiciones temporales con obras de artistas locales y nacionales.
El museo de la Ciudad de León se encuentra en el centro histórico.
La casa principal se encuentra ubicada en hermanos Aldama #136, donde se realiza la exposición de múltiples colecciones y la obra de diversos artistas contemporáneos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es un lugar pequeño pero con un buen espacio, es de dos plantas, por lo general las exposiciones son buenas e interesantes, la entrada tiene un costo de 2 pesos y los domingos es entrada gratuita, trato vez le hace falta una remodelación al lugar ya que se ve un poco viejo, más NO descuidado, el personal de la entrada es amable y también está muy limpio.
It is a small place but with a good space, it is two floors, usually the exhibitions are good and interesting, the entrance has a cost of 2 pesos and on Sundays it is free admission, once it needs a remodeling to the place and It looks a bit old, more NOT neglected, the entrance staff is friendly and it is also very clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El museo con el horario más tonto que existe, la administración piensa que solo gente nini puede ir a visitarlo porque este museo ridículamente tiene horario de oficina y solo gente sin responsabilidades diarias o trabajo puede visitarlo. Tan ridículo es su horario que tienen hasta horario de comida. Y me llevo la sopresa que no han tenido la delicadeza de establecer su nueva ubicación en Google maps de Pedro moreno. Que mal que haya gente que tenga que hacer gasto y pagos para exponer sus obras como en nómada colectivo y uno que si trabaja y que tiene responsabilidades no pueda visitarlo. Necesitan y tienen la obligación de abrir el museo en el mismo horario correcto que el de museo de historia de Guanajuato o el del teatro doblado. Esos señores, si son horarios de museo no como el de aquí que al parecer solo tiene interés de justificar gastos a la administración municipal. Terrible. Y con estos horarios de turístico no tiene nada.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El acervo anterior era sin precedentes. No sé que le han hecho ahora. Antes habían obras de Nepomuceno Herrera. Ojalá no se hayan "perdido" como siempre. Las exposiciones temporales les falta organización. Están un tanto confusas las rutas y la museografía. La accesibilidad es muy buena. Ojalá presenten algún día conciertos y otros eventos.
