Love it to much The friendly reception are helpful. All of them no specific one. The restaurants: Top-roof is amazing view to the sea with very nice atmosphere, and delicious food with very good service. The front side is amazing a touchy food

The property has numerous signs warning guests not to use NARCOTICS! One of our servers at the restaurant actually changed the tip amount on our check to be in dollars instead of pesos which could have cost us more than a hundred dollars! The concierge didn't even notice it and was perfectly fine to charge us that amount. The concierge insists on using their private phone numbers through Whatsapp to communicate. I asked to cancel a boat tour because of a lightening storm and I was informed by Alex and Hector at concierge that they would handle the refund. Don't stay here. After leaving the hotel - the concierge gave (or sold) my private phone number to someone in Mexico who began to call my phone telling me they could do a refund for the cancelled tour in person. They wanted to know where my new hotel was so they could come bring me my money in cash. Incredibly unsafe! That person didn't even have a photograph on their whataspp! This random person on whatsapp could be anyone that wants to know where I'm staying in order to attack and/or kidnap me! Needless to say, my life is worth more than the money I lost when they lied about cancelling a silly tour. Mostly, I deeply regret staying here because it ruined what was otherwise a really nice honeymoon and made me fearful of staying at local hotels in Playa del Carmen. Their photos look nice but are really just a way to sell you on the 'idea' of a safe and restful stay with them. Nothing will be restful if you stay here.

Opened in April 2021 this boutique hotel is right on the beach just minutes north of Playa is fantastic. Rooms are immaculate and stylish. The four corner rooms have jacuzzi tubs on large private balconies with direct sea views and are well worth booking. Mvganta, which is named for the glow of the full moon on the sea, is also dog friendly. Poppy loved her dog bed and amenities and all the attention the staff gave her. She was also allowed at the beach club, where she could chill on her own lounge chair and dip her paws in the sand. The hotel has a rooftop swimming pool with panoramic ocean views, two excellent restaurants, a second pool by the ocean and the ocean front beach club for guests. Massages can also be arranged.

I booked this hotel for my clients and it was not a pleasant stay for them. There are no complains about the room except for the sea view room hardly had a view of the sea. So I requested to move to the deluxe ocean front room which had a better view but the move was so difficult to organize. They said to move to the room in the morning but it became available so late in the day so the move ended up at around 4PM. Fortunately, they made the upgrade for free to make up for all the disasters that happened during NYE dinner. The New Year's Eve dinner was a disaster. On all of the days of the stay, the restaurant always had bad service. It took forever for food to be served and they didn't know how to cater to special request / allergies. In the end, they refunded the payment for NYE dinner. The restaurant needs a lot of improvement. Staff doesn't understand english 100%. The location was hard to find, almost like going through a maze so a lot of taxis didn't know the hotel and wasn't willing to take us there because they weren't familiar with the location. On the good side, they organized the RT PCR test at the hotel and that was very convenient. To be fair, the managers were responsive. Not organized and very incompetent, nonetheless responsive and attentive to requests and inquiries. Although we appreciate the effort made to make up for all the mishaps, however, I wouldn't recommend staying in this hotel. For the price we paid, we expect impeccable service and food however we got the complete opposite.

My boyfriend and I just returned from a week-long stay at Mvngata, and we loved it! The staff is really what makes this place stand out. They are so incredibly friendly and gave the highest level of attention and customer service to us. Arturo, Felipe, and Julio were so helpful at the front desk, especially with scheduling our Covid test and other excursions. Marco, Nefi, and Eddie, thank you for your great service during our breakfast! Antonio was super friendly and always helpful down by the beach. The hotel is beautiful, we loved our room and all the touches. The rooftop pool is also gorgeous and has a great vibe. The location was great as you could walk along the beach to several different restaurants and hotels. We really loved the small and personal feel, it felt like home after a week. We would definitely stay here again!

One star because I can't give less. my friends and I were looking for a nice beach club to go. someone suggested this one and my friend made the reservation, check the picture added. so it was all set we were happy. when my friends got there, they were turned away by the security girl, she said nobody can go in anymore as it's full, my friend showed the reservation but no, she said no. So we left, later my mom to ask about our reservation without mentioning what happened, apparently yes, it was available and they were expecting us, so then she mentioned what happened and they were surprised and said "oh the should have called us, the security girl doesn't know" ... if she doesn't know, why did she reject people WITH reservation without asking first inside? My friends spent a good amount of time in the taxi going there and having to go back to their place by taxi, and they spent a good amount of money in a taxi for nothing. I don't know if there is no communication between reservations and the entrance (security) but we did lose our beach day and money for this incident. it was my last day of holidays in Mexico and we were going to eat and drink well and it was ruined by this, because sincerely nobody told us we had to call inside so they let us in. My brother had been there before and he said it was nice even though I had read some reviews about it I decided to give it a go. I don't like to say "avoid this place" but this situations have to be sorted out. If you read my review, the least you can do is get in touch with my friends that live in Playa, they are Americans and refund them the taxi or at least call to apologize because this was outrageous. I can't get back my last day of holidays but even now I am wasting time of my lunch time to write this so you are aware of how bad this was.

Amazing hotel In every way. Spacious and well designed room, one of the best I have stayed so far. Also the service is absolute on point, staff really takes care of the guest and they genuinely want you to have the best time! Also dining experience is the best around in the area. We will definitely head back sometime.

My family and I would highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our visit and had no problems. Everyone was super helpful and nice. The rooms were very pretty and always well cleaned. We appreciated the amazing live music at both of the restaurants (ground floor, rooftop). We also rented a car through the hotel. Food was incredible, many vegan options. We used also the gym multiple times, very clean and for me personally well equipped. The only thing that i would appreciate would be mats, so you can exercise on the floor. All in all, it was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at.
