I rarely give a bad review on anything online. The workers seemed to be more friendly when I was making the appointment. Maybe because they don’t speak English and I don’t speak Spanish, I felt like being treated like a one-time customer. And they’re right, I’m just traveling here and may never be back again. But it’s quite disappointing. They cut my nail edge by accident and it’s bleeding, I didn’t even hear a SORRY till I left. I did a French gel, 290 pesos. Don’t think it’s a cheap price, I didn’t get any drinks. But later on, they treated two other ladies (seemed to be regular customers) totally differently. They got drinks as long as they walked in. I’m not upset because of the drinks. Just the attitude. If you don’t speak Spanish, don’t recommend here.

Nails & Cocktails is a beautiful, calm & relaxing salon. My daughters and I enjoyed our experience there very much. They served delicious fresh fruit cocktails and were professional and kind. And our nails/toenails look fantastic!

I never leave reviews but unfortunately I feel compelled to share to warn others who might be looking to get their nails done here. First things first, just be aware that they only have tea and coffee… no juices and nothing even close to a cocktail. The place itself is small and aesthetically speaking, it is well decorated. However, the service is horrible. I told the lady doing my nails that my nails are a bit thin so to please use a little bit of extra caution with them. She then proceeded to turn the drill as high as it would go to try to drill off my existing gel manicure. When I kept pulling away she’d ask if it hurt, I’d say yes and then she’d keep doing the same thing. It was the most painful manicure I think I’ve ever gotten - and I’ve had a lot of manicures when my nails were in worse condition than this. I got regular nail polish and the quality of it was so poor and cheap. The lady layered it on my nail right after filing them down, didn’t bother to rinse or wash the particles off first so now there are things under the polish as you can see in the photo. She also put cuticle oil on top of my wet nail polish. My friend got her nails and toes done as well and they cut her skin to the point where it was bleeding and didn’t bother to apologize. They also didn’t put a top coat on her pedicure and when she asked for one they said “no, it’s fine, they’ll dry quickly.” We also both went home and fixed the shape of our nails because they were uneven. The ladies working there both had an attitude as well, especially mine, who seemed annoyed to be there and in a rush like she had somewhere to be. Needless to say, we both agreed that it was the worst mani/pedi experience we’ve ever had. It’s sad because the place has potential as a concept, but it is horrible in terms of service/products/quality. Also side note (and nothing to fault them on because it is Mexico after all), but if you don’t speak Spanish I also wouldn’t recommend as nobody here speaks English. **EDIT: the owner reached out to me, apologized and offered to have us come back and have them fixed or give us a refund. She also said she’s talked to her employees about this. I really appreciate that - so thank you.
