National Car Rental - 76138 Santiago de Querétaro

I have to say that this was the first honest car rental location that I came across in Querétaro. Let me tell you, renting a car in Querétaro is nowhere near as easy as it is to rent a car in the United States. The first 3 auto Rental locations were horrible. Nothing but a bunch of greedy, uncaring, liars. However, when I got to National in Querétaro, even though they ended up not having a car available for me as scheduled, Armando made the necessary phone calls and was able to get us the car we wanted at another rental car location (which happened to be Alamo Car Rental located on, Av. 5 de Febrero, inside the Fiesta Inn). Armando is a good guy. He made sure that he made good on our reservation and really came through for us and we thank him for that. He is honest, fair & professional. I would definitely recommend National to any tourist in need of a rental car. They are good people. Just ask for, Armando when you go to the counter. ?

I would give a 0 start compliment if possible, I book a minivan, when picking up the van, it was not available then they offer a very small SUV for three time the booked price and on a very bad conditions, no circulation permits for Mexico City. It is the worst experience I've ever had with National. At Queretaro Hertz works much better.

Is there a 0 star rating? Awful. Do not rent from this place! The vehicle I reserved was not there because someone extended the rental. They offered another vehicle similar for twice the price of the agreement. This is against National's policy. Then I was told the vehicle had to be exchanged that night for the one I reserved because they wanted to honor the reservation of someone else? Seriously?

Good service, and in English, which was a relief. Car wasn't what I expected. I reserved a full size and got a Toyota Corolla base model. Research before renting a car in Mexico. Everyone requires TPL (third party liability) insurance. That insurance was more than the actual rental cost. Luckily I had done my research and it wasn't a surprise. They also put a hold on your credit card for the entire rental & insurance plus an additional $500 USD.

I was given a faulty car!!! This mechanical failure caused a terrible accident. I am lucky to be alive. My life was endangered by their lack of caution when checking the vehicles. When I complained about this, they did not take my complaint seriously. Then, the service I was given when it came to paying the insurance was confusing and rushed because they were horribly organized. The people at the desk are nice, but I felt like the National organization took advantage and I will never be doing business with them again!

Pick up was terrible. I made a reservation two weeks in advance, and I was going to pick up the car on a Sunday a 9am. I arrived at 9:15am, and there was on on working even though they were supposed to be open at 7 am. I had to wait until 10:30am to get my car after finally calling the airport location and getting through to someone. The car they gave me was not in great shape, as the turn signal bulb was out and it needed an oil change. The return process was much better, as there were people working, and it only took 25 minutes or so. Probably would not rent from this location again.

A really good place to rent from. We rented a Nissan March car for 5 days and Daniela Beltran was very helpful. They did not try to scan me into issues with the car. The only miscommunication was about the return time (which I was almost charged an additional day for returning the car 1.5 hours later, which I was told it was fine). In the end Daniela modified the return time and everyone was happy ?

We always rent from National when in QRO and have great service. Rudolfo helped us the last few visits and was excellent—very professional and kind!
