★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El servicio Sismológico Nacional cuenta con estaciones sísmicas en operación distribuidas en todo México, en donde se detectan en tiempo real el movimiento de las placas tectónicas. Su sede principal se encuentra en el Circuito de Investigación Científica en Ciudad Universitaria, a un lado del Instituto de Geofísica. Cuenta con visitas guiadas de lunes a viernes de 9 a 15 hrs con previa cita y siempre y cuando se reúna un mínimo de 10 personas. Es importante mencionar aún no hay un método ni en México ni en el mundo para predecir que en determinada región y en una fecha y hora específicas, ocurrirá un sismo, por lo que con todo y los avances tecnológicos actuales la predicción de sismos es un objetivo todavía inalcanzable.
The National Seismological Service has seismic stations in operation distributed throughout Mexico, where the movement of tectonic plates is detected in real time. Its headquarters are located in the Circuit of Scientific Research in University City, next to the Geophysics Institute. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Los altavoces del camellón de Periférico en la colonia Constitución de 1917, no funcionan y hace como 15 minutos escuché muy a lo lejos que estaba la alerta sísmica.... Y no fui la única, como 5 vecinos también la escucharon.?
