Éste no es un hotel común y corriente, éste es un alojamiento inteligente, autosustentable, armónico con el ecosistema entre muchas otras amenidades y curiosidades que hacen de la estancia, además de un tiempo mágico, inolvidable. Ximena y Nico, los Hosts de ésta propiedad, son simpáticos, inteligentes, divertidos y adorables. No lo dudes, harán todo lo posible porque tus vacaciones sean LA experiencia. en ésta propiedad, que resulta amigable con el ecosistema, vas a poder ver las estrellas y muchas flores amarillas. Por las noches, vas a escuchar el sonido del mar y por las mañanas, vas a despertar con el canto de las aves. las mascotas de la casa, todas ellas son preciosas. Desde un pavo Real que se llama Marck Anthony hasta el líder de la manada de 5? que se llama Machete. Todo en New Ruins es energía bonita y fértil.

The best moon-rise, sunrise, sunset and moon sets I've seen in this beautiful state. Jimena's cooking and Nico's hospitality are almost unique and deserve great praise.

Perfect place for your large group to get away from it all and enjoy privacy and nature. You can have food prepared for you or use the kitchen and make you own. Great for retreats and private parties

New Ruins is a utopian paradise that you have to experience to believe. Nick and Ximena are the best hosts, they kindly share with you their vision of sustainable living in modern times. They are available for you if you have any questions on how things work, like how they use solar energy to power their operations. You are completely off grid but with trusted internet for your remote work or studies. Ximena’s food is beyond delicious, always working with local ingredients either from the property or the local market. Her watermelon gazpacho with tostadas and ceviche (you can have her vegan ceviche too) is the perfect refreshing lunch you need before going for a swim in the ocean or hanging out in the pool. Chef Ximena is super innovative and if you have specific diet needs or restrictions, she will make sure that doesn’t get in the way of crafting a delicious meal for you. You will fall in love with the pack of furry friends who live in the property as well. Kahla, Machete, Scooby, GIF, and James F are the cutest pack of dogs you will ever meet, it’s a joy having them around. A truly amazing experience, once you go you will want to go back again. Always a pleasure to stay at New Ruins.

New Ruins is a unique pocket of wonder hidden under the palm trees on the hillside just a two minute walk from the beach. Completely off the grid, there's a lot to learn about how to not only survive, but do so comfortably, without depending on municipal utilities. Nic and Ximena are amazing hosts and there's a handful of friendly animals to hang out with as well. Ximena is a fantastic chef who makes everything from scratch using fresh, healthy ingredients, many of them grown right there on the property! Some of my favorite things to do at New Ruins are: Hang out with peacocks on the balcony, watch the sunrise, have a swim in the ocean, watch the sunset, have a swim in the pool, throw sticks into the oncoming waves for the dogs to chase after, enjoy not being around children and watching the bioluminescence glow in the waves at night.

Incredible & amazing place. Nico has built a gorgeous compound centered on sustainability, but not only is it eco-conscious, it's a very comfortable, fun, and extremely memorable place. The grounds are simply magnificent and Nico's hospitality was above and beyond. The property was/is constructed with care & love, with many fine touches and lots of locally-sourced art and materials. I particularly loved seeing the superadobe structures and learning how they were built. His semi-outdoor kitchen is also very impressive
