★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This kind of ice cream is definitely different from other, more industrial kinds. They are not the only “garrafa” (lit. carafe) style ice creams in town but IMO these are the best. They are not overwhelmingly sweet or creamy and the fruit based ones actually taste like you’re bitting the fruit they are made off.
Ice cream made in metal “garrafas” surrounded by ice and contained in wood buckets are the traditional kind found in small Mexican towns and these come very close to the real deal.
