If you come to Oaxaca, the dessert you definitely want to eat is nieve. Mexican food is generally heavy, but this ice cream was relatively light and perfect for retouching. Many local families and couples came to the store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is so great and the ice cream is amazing. The best Ice cream I have ever tasted in many years. The flavors that I tried this time around was Mezcal, beso oaxaqueno, leche quemada (fried milk) and petalos de Rosa ice cream. My favorite one is the rose petal. I highly recommend this place if you want to try something new and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place wasn’t as at all what I expected. It’s a square with nothing but ice cream parlours solely for tourists, which are quite empty and have people at the front trying to wave you into their shop. That alone gives me anxiety. The decoration is over the top, they have dolls on the table, neon signs, tons of textiles, and festive hanging, but the whole place feels as far from authentic as it can be.
