Nohoch Kay - 77976 Mahahual

In case you're like me and trying to figure out if it's a restaurant, a little resort, or somewhere in between - It's a full-service bar and restaurant with a small private beach and service to your own cabana. So you can chill as long as you want with reserved lounge chairs under a cabana, come and go from the water, they'll bring you food and drink (available a la carte or as part of a flat-rate package), and there are beach massages, kayaks, and other add-ons available. And it was PERFECT for our day in Costa Maya. It was so casual and relaxed, the shrimp ceviche was 10/10, the drinks were great (if you like fruity, try their Bahama Mama - so fresh!) and Luis was an incredible host! It was an $8 taxi ($4/person), less than a 10-minute drive from the port, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to relax, eat and drink well, and support local businesses. If you like massages, the beach massage from mother/daughter team Veronica and Isabella is a real treat.

Unfortunately we did not have the best experience here. The restaurant was full so that excuses some things but service was slow and we had to make a big effort to get the waiters' attention. The food also wasn't as good as the reviews indicated. The cajun fish was pretty basic and very salty. Cocktails were also so so, overall it was just an OK meal and we decided not to return as there are many better restaurants in Mahahual.

5 stars for literally everything. We went twice. Had coconut shrimp, conch ceviche, whitefish, octopus, grilled chicken and horchata. Would go back here 1000 times. Prices are very reasonable. Service is quick and friendly. If you're in Mahahual you must try this place.

Great food, freshly prepared in a very simplified restaurant. I went for some lobster tail and the food itself was actually great and I don’t have anything negative to say against that. The only disadvantage was the dirty place - chairs haven’t been cleaned for a while, neither had the tables. The staff was nice too.

Delicious fish tacos at an affordable price. Mango smoothie was also bomb.

We literally went every day we stayed in Mahahual. Fresh food and great flavors for the best price in town. Super recommended

It's a chilled place had fun with friends,speaking Spanish helps because prizes are different ? Music was diverse and the ambiance is great overlooking the beach and you'll also see small lizard friends as you dine. Cab ride from the Port was 12usd and a 2 course meal for 3 people we paid 110usd so reasonable and ? yummy

We had langosta (lobster) de mantequilla y ajo and camarones (shrimps) de coco. Everything was very tasty (especially the grilled lobster and grilled broccoli), but the different sauces were slightly bland and too sweet for our taste.
