Nômade - 77880 Tulum

I am late with this review, but I just wanted to share that their beach service is spectacular. Eduardo was more than amazing. The culture of the hotel is very respectful, kind and spiritual. I have recommended Nomade to all my friends and family, as the one and only place to visit while in Tulum.

stay away from this hotel! Do not give them your business because they will fail you. This hotel definitely does not deserve 5 stars. I stayed there 4 nights: food is bad, poor quality service, language barrier, and of course stealing my money. I have traveled all over the world and I have never experienced this! They hold on to the deposit for food and beverage and charged my card 1000 $ , I did not use the deposit and they never gave me back my own money!!!! I had to call them 5 times and send them multiple emails and still nothing!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Stay away!!!

This place over the top amazing. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the atmosphere is wonderful, the food and drinks are out of this world and every single staff member I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Pedro and Jose were my servers all week and they were so attentive and friendly! I own a bar/grill and I wish I could hire them both! I found most of the negative things people said in reviews to be false. If you are staying at the hotel you do not have a minimum you have to spend at the beach club, that is what I found so strange from reading reviews. They did pre authorize my card for drinks and food on my request so I could charge to the room. The concierge was so helpful and friendly! We needed help a few times and they were these within minutes. They also helped my friend and I with our shuttles and Covid tests. One woman was particularly helpful but I didn’t catch her name. I didn’t do yoga because I’m a night person and from another time zone so got up late, but they have many classes. I did make it to the complimentary breakfast once and it was absolutely fantastic…..and huge! It was raining that day so they were busy and I still got fast service. 15% gratuity is included on food and drinks but I left more every time and they were extremely gracious. If you are worried about the seaweed, don’t come in May. There is a lot. But the staff is constantly cleaning it up. This was my best experience in a resort and I can’t wait to come back!

Bohemian Tulum vibes with a jungle feel.. I liked their class programming, yoga and fitness instructors were great. I stayed in a tent which was not the best so would suggest trying out a Hut. The 2 restaurants are pretty good especially Moncondo. Concierge was attentive and quite friendly and I also had good interactions with the front desk staff. The location isn't ideal because you're practically a $20 cab ride from other restaurants/bars in the village

Only commenting for the beach front restaurant. Wow such an experience! Very delicious food, great service and most amazing beach view. The lighting and design is beautiful. We really enjoyed our dinner there. There is a second restaurant on the inner side , which looked also amazing and more mystical! It was nice to smell the copal all over. The prices are not cheap but the quality is amazing. We were very happy when we left Nomade.

Really good hotel with great facilities, various daily activities. Beach is cleaned several times a day from sea weed (which was not the case for hotels around it). The hotel itself is very beautiful in a style of a jungle. The staff is very nice and helpful. The downside is that the Room is very dark and there is no fridge in the room. For a tropical location, the price for water bottle is too expensive (10 eu or more).

The reception staff, including the manager, needs better training. They treat you like you are their servants and they are just doing you a favor. Was trying to show them something on my phone to explain something but didn’t even look me in the eye and didn’t utter a single word. Absolutely the worst service in my entire life. If they are charging people so much, and when I am spending so much money this is NOT acceptable. This place has a potential as the set up is nice but the management really needs to work on reception service. The hostess at the door, servers, other hotel staffs were nice though.

I’m not sure how I can best capture the essence of this hotel that’s in the jungle and on the most beautiful stretch of beach, but the whole experience was incredible. My husband and I first booked a jungle room and were given quite a large room for the two of us which was decently nice though slightly outdated in some areas, so the following day we asked to see some of the suites in case we wanted to upgrade. We ended up changing to a gorgeously renovated oceanfront suite which was perfect for us. We saw some of the other suites too which were all stunning as well and possibilities for our next stays. We admitted that had we not upgraded, the experience would have still been great but the different room made it all the better, even though it came at a higher cost. It was right on the beach, clean and beautifully decorated with a view of the sea. We got to hear the waves at night which was amazing. There was also a beautiful indoor and outdoor shower with a bathtub which I loved. All the staff members were genuinely friendly and helpful. There are so many staff working around the grounds to keep it pristine, even raking the sand to make sure the beach is perfect. I respect and admire how much effort goes into maintaining this place. A special thanks to Eugenia and Alfonso who made it such a great experience for us! The food at Macondo and La Popular were delicious, and the service was excellent. We took some of the wellness classes which were excellent too. I loved yoga under the hut in the jungle. It is quite an expensive stay, but a special experience that exceeded our expectations and we already can’t wait to go back!
