Absolutely amazing! We loved everything about this restaurant. Incredible chef who came out and explained each delicious dish he prepared! So talented, hospitable, and kind. Quality service, delectable food, lovely ambiance. Nicest time we’ve had at dinner in Playa thus far. We’ll definitely be back!

If this would allow me to give 4.75 stars I would, because the only small criticism I would have is the portion size to price (the price itself being a few dollars more than I'd expect here, but I feel that is likely the higher cost of the quality ingredients here). But as for the food itself, everything was really delicious. The octopus especially was cooked to perfection, tender with a crisp outside, which is very tough to achieve!

What an amazing meal, start to finish. Andreas welcomed us with open arms and was charming throughout the entire meal. Chef Luca came out a few times to tell us about our dishes and to check on us during our meal. All staff were excellently trained and attentive. For appetizers, we had the steak tartar and the duck dumplings. The steak tartar was beautifully plated and delicious. They were so accommodating to split the duck dumplings between two plates, these are not to be missed, we seriously considered getting them for dessert. I had had the duck with foie gras which was rich and flavorful, while my partner had the cowboy steak which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For dessert the chocolate dumplings were a rich dark chocolate balanced by fresh fruit and the pavlova was a perfectly light end to the meal. We're so lucky to have found this gem, it was definitely our best meal in Playa.

We had a lovely experience at Nordic celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. The service and food were both top notch. Chef Luca is incredibly talented and a lovely human. He guided us through the menu and we really enjoyed how interactive the experience was. Highly recommend if you’re in Playa Del Carmen and want a romantic night out.

Wasn’t really looking for anything boujee during my trip to Playa Del Carmen, but somehow ended up here. My family and I were greeted warmly and even spoke to the owner and chef a few times. The food and the drinks were quite an experience, rightly justifies the cost. Chill vibe, minimalist decor, Scandinavian and Italian inspired dishes. I got the duck ravioli and this berry/pineapple virgin drink (I can still taste it!!). Not sure what steak my sister got but I stole half of it, so damn good.

We enjoyed the New Year's Eve special menu dinner. We both ordered from the fish menu and were happy with every dish. The pavlova for dessert was the stand out. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. We cannot go back during this trip, but would recommend it to others!

I really want to give this place 5 stars, but for the price I think it missed the mark. Service from wait staff and chef were outstanding, appreciated the hospitality as soon as I arrived. Food was good, but not great. This is my personal opinion and maybe Nordic food just isn’t for me, but I think there were too many sauces and strong flavors overpowering components that should’ve been delicious on their own (eg. couldn’t taste the duck in the ravioli, beef was perfectly cooked but didn’t have the chance to shine under all the sauce). I initially ordered just the duck ravioli but the chef insisted I also try the beef. The amount of beef that was served was far too large and heavy (especially with all the sauce) for the average person, and I ended up eating only half of it - it would’ve been great as a share dish, so I really don’t think it should’ve been recommended to me as a solo diner. Finally, lighting for the outdoor seating was lacking and it’s a shame that I couldn’t enjoy the beautiful plating to its fullest.

Really great place for a date night. The food was well thought out, balanced and delicious. We came for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. The chef made an effort to come and chat with us and and provided info on the dishes. Highly recommended if you've been eating street food for ages and want to change it up with a night of fine dining. Portions are really generous too, which is a nice change for a fancy meal.
