Una giornata fantastica con Gerardo ed il team di Northswell! Lezione perfetta per me(principiante), è stata semplice e divertente! Il mio amico(intermedio) è anche rimasto molto soddisfatto! Barra de Navidad e Northswell, niente di meglio! Grazie!

Que buena experiencia y que buen equipo. Gracias a Mari, Gerardo y Amarillo. Realizamos un clase con Gerardo. Eramos principiantes y después de una hora y media con ellos, más o menos podemos montar y sobrevivir solos! Son muy agradables y pacientes, para nosotros es un buen precio para un clase privada con una hora de rental después cuando quisieramos. Muy muy recomendable. What a great experience and a great team. Thank you Mari, Gerardo and Amarillo. We took a class with Gerardo. We were beginners, but after an hour and a half we could just about ride and survive by ourselves! They are super amiable and patient teachers. It was a great price for an hour and a half lesson, plus an hour of rental whenever you like after. Highly recommended.

Le advertí a Iván (mi instructor) que era la alumna más cabeza dura que iba a tener en la vida y cómo buen coach me guío paso a pasito, me motivo y me dio toda la seguridad para tener éxito y poder pararme en una tabla!! Su atención, al igual que la de Gerardo y todo el personal me dieron una experiencia muy divertida y segura para aprender a surfear! Sin duda, ganaron una nueva cliente frecuente!!!

Definitely worth to stop here and take a lesson or a refresher session with Gerado! Or just rent a kayak and paddle around the lagoon. Great spot!

Currently this is the only surf shop offering a number of different boards close to the Barra Surf Break. It's a mild break that picks up at mid to low tide from the lagoon draining and from the man-made breakwater. Nice easy waves that are perfect for beginners, intermediates and even gets decent swell for advanced riders. Pros: Owner Pedro is very professional, speaks good English, and has good quality equipment for rent. He was also prepared to make a deal and offered an extra hour to my board rental when I tried bartering on price. I had a great surf and he is about a 30 second walk to the beach. Very convenient. Cons: Only con I could see was that the rental pricing wasn't listed anywhere and that I personally thought the original prices were a bit high. I was originally quoted 200 pesos per hour ($13-$14), 600 pesos for 24 hrs ($40), and was told there would be a discount for longer rentals. In Canada we pay approximately $25 per day for rentals. However, when I brought this to the attention of Pedro he was willing to make a deal and offered me an extra hour bringing the rate to around 100 pesos per hour. Which I think is fair. All in all a good experience.

Had a great day here with Gerardo. The team is lovely, the pieces cheap, and the waves were great for beginners. No-one out here, and it's too shallow for big sharks. Five star experience, and big thanks to the team!
