Nuée Tulum by G Hotels - 77780 Tulum

We stayed in the two bed room for a month, and enjoyed every moment. The hotel rooms are beautiful and good value, and the roof is amazing, with views over the jungle. The staff are most helpful, and whenever something was missing they sorted it out pronto. Lupita in particular was a wonderful and most professional hostess. Highly recommend, especially for the first few weeks in Tulum.

SUPER LOUD AT NIGHT Just across the street there is bar with loud parties. They are so loud that it seems like they are in your heard. Impossible to sleep, so stay away

We personally had an excellent experience at this hotel. We arrived around 7pm on Tuesday and were helped immediately to get checked into our king room with a small private pool. Our room was super clean and our private pool was also clean. I really loved having a kitchenette to cook breakfast. The stovetop was a little temperamental to turn on, but once we got used to it it was fine. We had just one small pot and medium pan for cooking but it was sufficient for us. There's also a microwave and mini fridge. They provided food and beverage items in the room for charge, but we just put those to the side and purchased our own groceries down the street at Aki grocery store. Our room was the first room on the first floor next to the lobby and exit onto the street. The first night (Tuesday) we did hear some music from the gentlemen's club / bar across the street. The other nights weren't really that noisy, even on Friday. If you're bothered by any noise though bring earplugs, especially if you're planning to rent the rooms with the private pools as they are all on the first floor. Again, none of the noise really bothered us, and the only time we found it loud was in the morning when people were leaving and staff were coming in to clean and check people in. We do sleep in very late though, so the noise wasn't out of the ordinary for hotel hustle and bustle at 9am. We used earplugs in the morning being late sleepers. The hot water in the shower takes about 5 minutes to heat up and the shower pressure wasn't great but was sufficient. The private pool was a little chilly, and it can't be heated up, but it made for a refreshing dip after long bike rides from the beach or around centro. I thought the location was great. The hotel is 2 blocks off the main road where there are a ton of food and beverage options as well as shopping. There are also lots of food trucks / carts nearby if that's your thing. It's close to a gas station / convenience store and a large grocery store, Aki. It's only a few blocks away from Kar Kun bike rental shop, next to the Santander bank, (grab a bike from Ari here!) and Bo Laundry service. 15 minute walk from Centro Ado Bus Terminal 15 minute bike ride to the ruins 15 minute bike ride to Grand Cenote 15-20 minute bike ride to the beach The hotel staff will store your bikes in a private staff / storage room area near the lobby. We didn't feel unsafe walking in the neighborhood. We would definitely return, especially for the excellent and inexpensive pricing and great service and location!

Nuee Tulum. BAD SERVICE. Very dirty hotel. Very noisy next to a busy, loud bar that the sound doesn’t let you sleep! The night desk workers are very loud and also don’t let you sleep. Night staff invite their friends and buddies to hang out in the lobby making it even more noisy!! Pool is filthy and old. Does not have filtration and water is stagnant and murky. Bedroom sheets have a very musky and MOLDY smell that lingers in your lungs while you sleep. Even worse is the smell of sewage from the bathroom!! The “private pool” in the king room is also NASTY!! Who knows how many people were inside it as the water was dirty and stagnant. Do not stay here. Tell anyone you know to avoid it!! No Nuee Hotel!!! Yes Tulum! No Nuee!! Shower head was so dirty water would not come out! Also no hot water! DO NOT STAY NUEE HOTEL! Second morning there was no access to running water, toilets don’t flush. The hotel worker did come to apologize with several excuses for everything. No resolution.

Location: 8/10 (Perfect location for walking. Walking distance to everything in central Tulum, near really great food trucks, near Oxxo, Gomart and Super Aki. Yes there's a late night men's club across the street but it didn't really bother us) Rooms: 8/10 (clean, functional, exactly that we needed as people who weren't there a lot and spent most of our days out and about or at the beach. A little shabby in areas, such as gaps around the door frame, allowing sound to come into the room. Not a big issue for us) Service: 8/10 (friendly, relaxed. We had a shower water pressure issue and flagged it to them and it was fixed that day)

The hotel is located at a good location (near Tulum central) and is affordable! Rooms are generally clean and staff is very friendly. We had to check in at late night 12am and the staff even helped us carry our heavy luggages. The sound is definitely a problem as it's right opposite a night club. The walls are also very thin so you can clearly hear your neighbors talking. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here.

As other guests mentioned before this Hotel is next to at least 3 clubs/bars who play loud music until the early morning around 3/4 am. For my sister who wanted to have a restful holiday time and for me who had to work early in the morning on my laptop around 6/7 am this place was not ideal. We got barely any sleep and felt stressed because of all the noise, we felt we needed holiday after the stay from this Hotel. Our wish to cancel the half stay was ignored and we got a different room instead, which barely made a difference. It was not very clean, the towels had stains and the floor was not cleaned properly, the toilet did not worked properly either. Hotels in this price range or higher should not make guests pay a deposit, a good Hotel has an insurance for that. It appears this Hotel Nuee wants to look high end with some nice Accessoires but its basically a cold concrete building in a very noisy and dirty area. The only people I would recommend the stay is people who want to Party all night and does not care about health. This place is not like shown on the pictures. One of the service guys has been friendly and they give you extra strong ear plugs which hurts your ears alot but they make it possible to sleep maybe a little bit, these are the only positiv things we found in this Hotel. The price is definetly not worth the quality, I stayed in a poor local area and felt better accommodated.

The most miserable part of my trip. Stayed in the king deluxe with the pool — if you want to actually sleep, you won’t. Music so loud you can feel it till 5am. I had my phone playing static white noise to try and drown it out, literally had my phone laying on my head and the music was still so much. It’s all day. I’m here to actually work and I’m on day 2 of very little sleep and want to cry. I don’t look forward to coming back to this hotel. The people in the office I can hear every word but my Spanish is to rusty to communicate that I want to get a refund and leave or move to another room. Already tried. There are huge slits in the wall by the toilet so I can see people walking by while I’m in the bathroom. Very little privacy since the walls are paper thin. Overall not enjoyable or relaxing and I hate being here.
