★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 01/21/2022, this time it was better. Though plane did arrive 10 minutes late and how is that the cleaning crew cleaned so quickly. I don't think the seats or trays and arm rear were sanitized...anyway..two starts on my book

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very unprofessional and they try to scam those traveling to the US so much! Two souvenirs i wanted to bring, they were up charging me almost three times the cost of the souvenir to declare and bring to the US! Just ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Why give all people 5 star? 1/ more than twice higher price for bus/taxi from airport (taxi, Uber and other works from city to airport, not opposite).. Someone cousins cousin have monopol here.. Mexico…? Yes, I can imagine it like this.. 2/ free internet? No, forgot it. Welcome in 21st century..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The airport itself is fine. But beware of the mezcal shop. They don't seal the mezcal in a duty free bag so if you have a connection in the us- you need to check the mezcal you bought. I even asked the lady that worked there and she said my receipt should be fine- it was not.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad customer service. Have checked in my luggage with volaris and went to the security check. We bought a grinder and had it in our had language
At the security we have been told that we can not bring it with us. I made clear that I don't understand her in Spanish but she refused to talk to me in English, she did not even bother to bring a colleague to explain the issue to me in English. So we had to go back to volaris, who as well did not let us put the grinder into our checked in bag which was still behind the counter. So we ended up to gift it to one of the cleaning ladies. After finally passing the security check to see a super small terminal which was crowded as hell, no social distancing possible during covid time, not even enough space dor people to sit. All in all really bad experience at the airport .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is one cafe with grab-and-go sandwiches inside the departure terminal, plus a convenience store. Contrary to what the Volaris agent incorrectly told me, the restaurant outside security is NOT the only food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oaxaca! The city is amazing and the airport is a nice entryway into the city. About 100 pesos per person in collective to get to town.
No jet bridge at this airport so boarding is done old fashioned way with stairs.
Supermarket at airport with reasonable non airport prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Airport with one and only taxi station. Choice of a taxi or a shared shuttle. Prices are clearly displayed. Buy ticket at the booth. Credit card accepted. Walk across the street, give the tickets to the driver. They will ask you for the hotel name. 100 pesos get me to my hotel. Safe and Easy.
