Técnica basada en sistemas especiales de visión y manipulación introducidos a la cavidad peritoneal, reemplazando la visión directa del cirujano por un sistema óptico de visualización a distancia. Se practica a través de pequeñas incisiones en las que insertamos trocares o tubos, mediante los cuales se introducen instrumentos quirúrgicos y una cámara de video que permite al cirujano realizar la intervención quirúrgica.

I had surgery with Dr. Omar Gaytán for a hiatal hernia, which was not only very timely with my diagnosis, I also had excellent care from him and the team for the pre and post surgery. Alessandra Tapia y en general a su maravilloso equipo de trabajo, por su profesionalismo y alto sentido de servicio y atención al paciente, así mismo quiero reiterarle mi reconocimiento y respeto, pues gracias a su oportuna intervención en el diagnóstico de mi sintomatología, pude remitir una incipiente pancreatitis biliar que puso en peligro mi vida, culminando con una cirugía de vesícula concluida con éxito.
