★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Monumento a los Heroes Veracruzanos es un obelisco eregido a la memoria de los ciudadanos veracruzanos que combatieron ferozmente en 1914 contra las tropas Americanas que ocuparon el Puerto de Veracruz durante ocho meses.
Se encuentra en una glorieta del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de Veracruz, en la intersección entre calle 16 de Septiembre y calle 25 de junio, a medio camino entre el Baluarte de Santiago y el Malecón.
The Monument to the Veracruz Heroes is an obelisk erected to the memory of the Veracruz citizens who fought fiercely in 1914 against the American troops that occupied the Port of Veracruz for eight months.
It is located in a roundabout in the Historic Center of the City of Veracruz, at the intersection between Calle 16 de Septiembre and Calle 25 de Junio, halfway between the Baluarte de Santiago and the Malecón.

Good location nice view in any of its 4 points and streets especially central and near the boardwalk.

Historical monument, which is somewhat hidden...and does not have adequate signage. Apart from that, a very good option to visit.

No es precisamente lo más turístico del puerto ni lo más conocido pero tiene un significado bastante bonito ya que está dedicado a los caídos en la defensa del puerto de Veracruz.
En sus 4 caras se encuentran frases referente a ello.
The obelisk or "Altar a la patria" is located in a roundabout that leads to the boardwalk, downtown and to other points.
It is not exactly the most touristic part of the port or the best known, but it has a quite beautiful meaning since it is dedicated to those who died in the defense of the port of Veracruz.
On its 4 faces there are phrases referring to it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a monument near the malecon in Veracruz it doesn't look like much but it is actually very impressive. You're lying there were people there taking pictures and taking their time one guy was playing chess by himself I'm not sure how that works.
It's not worth a special trip but it's worth it if you're in the area to take a look
