★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I have been going to Ocean Dental for years and WE HIGHLY recommend this clinic for ANY dental work one may need. They have a
solution for just about everything "dental". We both have "implants" that are
in the "final stage" of completion and even though we could go to our
"family" dentist as he too "does implants", we are waiting until we are able to safely
travel. And "YES" he is capable of finishing their work, even he highly recommends that Ocean Dental "finish".I quote "this is some of the best work I've seen, great job! So YES we are going back just as soon as we
get the "all clear" from the White House!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can’t say enough about Ocean Dental. Just finished with my second trip. The quality of their work is amazing. Their staff is wonderful. Dr. Nora and Jonathan made sure my bridge, implant and crowns fit perfectly. Melissa at the front desk was a wiz at last minute scheduling and always a joy to see. Even my driver, Isia was top notch and went the extra mile to make sure I made all my appointments and return flight. I’ll be asking for him next time I’m down. My friends ask if it’s really worth it to make the trip to have dental work done and I tell them absolutely! I’m already planning my next trip down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never thought ideas like dental tourism would apply to me, but when I received the quote for the extensive dental work I needed here in Massachusetts, well... Based on a recommendation of a friend, and the reviews, I asked the Cancun office to quote the same work. It wasn't just a little cheaper. It was 1/5 the price. And, the Massachusetts quote didn't include the last molars on each side, which the Cancun one did.
The initial discussions via email were very professional, so I decided to head to Cancun. The dentists there then took x-rays and photos, using equipment that was superior to any I'd seen in the USA. They then collaborated, discussed amongst themselves, had great 3-D graphic displays to work with, and the main word of their Spanish I kept catching was corona. (So I bought a Corona t-shirt at a tourist shop.)
They came to similar conclusions as the Mass. dentist and came up with a plan. It involved implants, root canals, bridges and crowns. They created a schedule that had me going from specialist to specialist, each worked well with their assistant. Each had dental equipment that was the equal to or better than any I'd seen in the states. Each seemed very knowledgeable, and worked unhurried but efficiently. I always felt as if I was the only patient they had, although the waiting room told a different story.
The drivers that take you to and fro, the staff at the front desk, the scheduling and billing people, and the dentists and their assistants were all a pleasure to work with, although my mouth was getting tired from long hours in dentist chairs as they rebuilt my mouth.
Because it was far away, all the work was done in one 10 day window, and there will be follow on visits necessary to finish the implants. Most of the teeth are finished though, and they look and feel great. My crooked bite of the last 75 years is working for the first time as it should.
A negative? The dental office in Massachusetts had nicer panelling, doors and furnishings. In Cancun they seemed to have invested more in the dental equipment than the plain functional look of the offices, although the waiting room chairs are very comfortable.
I'm very pleased with the work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I sussed out 3 dental offices in Vancouver + made 3 trips to UBC Dental before seeking alternative dental work. The prices were way too high in Van (quoted $1500 per crown + $350 cleaning etc etc..) I waited almost 1 year for UBC to help with my cracked crowns but they didn't come through.
I had my teeth cleaned in Van ($350) before I came here; that dental office only cleaned HALF my teeth & asked me to come back for the other HALF + pay again for that. I have never heard of such a thing really. (I was also asked to sign a waiver "not to discuss that dental visit on social media" ...which I thought was odd.) I told the dentist there that I was coming to Mexico for my crowns, & I got a bit of a talking to about it; that set the stage for me to worry... but not enough to prevent my trip.
I rented a place on Airbnb for $2200 cdn & my BF came with me. (I am here in Cancun now btw.) CDS offers free airport pick up + to & from your hotel during your stay (for dental visits) which I thought is a nice touch.
The Xray & Dental equipment at CDS is as good as the high-tech equipment at UBC Dental; and the facilities, staff, & locations, + operation is sterile/ clean, upscale & professional.
Right now I have temporaries in & I get crowned tomorrow afternoon. I paid $200 cdn additional dollars here to finish the cleaning & it included professional whitening as well. I will come back another day to post the end results. At this stage though, I am pleased & already planning my return for the rest of my dental work which will include braces for my lower teeth. Ps. I am 57 years old. In case you are wondering. :-) (And the price here for 3 crowns + one veneer + cleaning & whitening + one filling is $2400 cdn tax included. )

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just had a great experience at the Ocean Dental Cancun clinic.
First of all, I want to thank the Dr. Thelma Esquivel (and her assistant) who identified me with my dental problems, planned a quick treatment for them, and performed two major surgeries to remove the root inflammation while preserving my teeth.
I am also surprised and very grateful to the Dr. Salet and her assistant Dori. The Dr. Salet prepared my teeth for the new crowns, and they put them on. So gentle, fast, professionall, error-free crowns, their size, color, convenience. I don’t even feel like something has changed.
Thank you to the whole team, Joshua, who helped reconcile the holiday trip with dental treatment, the manager, the drivers who always came on time and answered a lot of tourist questions. You're a great team.
All of you and your families Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Kristina

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The initial implants and dentures went very well. However upon returning to the clinic they are asking roughly double the price for the same work we can get done in Canada. We would like the dentures replaced as they have one broken tooth and are discoloring. This is 5 years after so we aren't complaining about that. But really expensive to replace here.
