Ocean Drive Hotel & studios - 77400 Isla Mujeres

Awesome location, about a 5-10 min walk to Playa Norte and a short walk to downtown and the pier. It’s next to the Isla Mujeres sign too. Room was good the A/C was strong very simple design. Staff is awesome and is always willing to help. The eggs breakfast was the best I’ve had and it’s included. Rented a golf cart from them for around $50 for 24hrs. What I love the most is that every floor has a public balcony that you can wake up to the ocean.

We stayed here for 8 nights. The location for the resort is perfect. We could see sunrise from our room every morning. That staff is very sweet and honest- they reminded me to collect my sunglasses I had forgotten in the corridor. One of the best places to stay on the island.

Location and view was great. Hotel is needs some upgrades. It can be very loud at night.

We stayed here for 6 night. Location is good and staff is friendly. Cleaning, however, was pretty bad. Cleaning lady was around most of the time but spent most of the time doing nothing - our bedsheets were dirty when we arrived and the common bathrooms were never clean - even after cleaning staff had been there. Also cleaning didn’t knock on our door one day, they simply opened the door. That’s too bad.

Beautiful location on the ocean side of Isla Mujeres, within walking distance to everything downtown and Playa Norte/Centro, while also on a quieter street than those downtown. We stayed in a top floor room with a jacuzzi on the balcony for only $100 per night. It was incredible to watch the sunrise every morning and listen to the sound of the waves. Someone else wrote a review that the hotel was loud and I would agree - you can hear loud bangs/echoes/sounds from your room (could be why we'd wake up during the night sometimes). Being on the top floor I think we may have had less of the noise, so I can't imagine how it is on lower floors. Our toilet and shower stopped working one morning but were immediately fixed by the time we came back to the room that afternoon - and had no issues afterwards. Overall, a pretty decent stay for the price, location and view.

Location is excellent and staff very accommodating. Building appears to be relatively new and in decent condition. We stayed during January and the pool and pool deck receive a relatively low amount of sun during the day but they do have complimentary access to a beach club on Playa Norte which is a great perk. Certainly a great place for our first visit to Isla and a great home base from which to explore!

Money has been STOLEN from us from the locked room safe in this hotel. People, please avoid this hotel at any price, no one deserves to have such a terrible experience during their holidays. Poor, not-caring staff and management even after reporting the stealing.

They are in transition, updating the hotel from what it is to something more. We had issues with the keying system all week long as the key card kept losing its data to open the door. They changed the door locks on the rooms mid-week and that took care of the problem, once they got the computer updated. The room was always kept clean, thank you house keeping, they were great.. Had problems with the remotes for the ceiling fans and the air conditioning system. They didn't show you how it worked, had to figure it out. The breakfasts were good, same thing every morning. Your breakfasts menu was provided as to what you payed for your room. The more you paid the better breakfast you got. The pool was cold but very clean, They were tearing the restaurant down all week long, to build new one. There was issues but the price was great and we decided we would go back again next time, hopeing they are done with updates and pricing is the same or close.
