Ochenta y Dos [an urban bed & breakfast] - 97000 Mérida

If you're going to Merida, have a stay at Ochenta Y Dos B&B!! A beautiful place with a great pool, spacious, modern & well equipped rooms, rainforest showers... The breakfast is included in the price & is heavenly! And the owners Dave & Patrick are the best : they make you feel so welcome. They are very attentive to their guests & just so nice! Don't hesitate to choose this place: it's great to relax and a very good value for money

We stayed at this wonderful B&B for a total of 9 nights. Dave and Patrick were the most excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make all their guests feel welcomed and included! The room was very clean and fresh, the bed and bedding were super comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet as we did not hear the other guests, even though all the rooms were at one point occupied. The room was cleaned and refreshed daily. Now, let’s talk food, the breakfast was simply amazing. Fresh fruits, yogurt, granola and freshly pressed juices as starter. The main course (breakfast) changed daily, you heard me DAILY!!!. The guests are not fed the same thing twice during their stay. We did not feel rushed to eat and run out. It enabled us to converse with other guests and getting to know one another. The coffee was free flowing which is a nice way to start the day. The property is quite spacious and you have ample room to move around. You can read a book on the rooftop, relax by the pool and enjoy life as it was meant to be. You can stroll through town, visit museums, art galleries all within walking distance from the property. If walking isn’t your thing, you can Uber your way around town for next to nothing. We definitely recommend Ochenta y Dos to anyone.

Hosts Dave and Patrick and their 4 puppies made a most enjoyable stay. Ochenta Y Dos is pure magic...stylish, comfortable, zen and fun! Amazing breakfast and happy hour and we loved having a steam and a swim at the end of the day. Dave also gave FABULOUS tours of the yucatan which I highly recommend.

Stay here! It's an Oasis. The owners are super nice and very knowledgeable about the city. Their pool is very inviting and the rooftop bar is amazing. I hope to be there for pizza and movie night sometime. The rooms are clean and have a king size bed, refrigerator and a microwave. If I had to be picky, the room we were in could have used more outlets. We had a great stay and a lot fun playing with the puppies. Shout out to Mini!

My wife and I spent two nights here. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! Our hosts were both excellent, very welcoming and helpful! We had two excellent breakfasts, scratch made and they have friendly dogs who greet you each morning and when you return to the house. The property is modern and has all the amenities you need for your stay! Really reccomend Ochenta Y Dos it is an excellent stay in Merida, we will be back. Thanks to Dave, Patrick, Norman and the dogs ! :)

I stayed here in 2017 and arrived at night. Dave and Patrick were incredibly friendly. Dave helped me carry my luggage inside. The ambience was beautiful, night lights in the backyard, music playing, pool lights on and clean. Bedroom doors were open with curtain blowing to the natural air. Was breathtaking. Dave made sure I had everything I needed and provided a tray of booklets on things to do. He also offered to show me around central merida. Toiletries provided and a complimentary drink with guacamole & chips. I was pretty tired as it had been a long day of travel so Dave placed on the bench in my room for me. Breakfast each morning was amazing which Dave cooks himself (great cook)! On rotation so it wasn't always the same. There is also a rooftop area with sun beds that I would sunbathe on. Showers were brilliant too. Definitely recommend :) My experience was great. Thank you :)

We just spent a week with Dave and Patrick at Ochenta y dos. Dave and Patrick are incredibly gracious hosts, very knowledgeable about the area and always willing to help. The accommodations are exquisite, the breakfast is exceptional. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The pool area is tranquil. They are located an easy walking distance from Paseo Montejo and the Plaza Grande or if you prefer $2 Uber. I cannot imagine a better place to spend your time in Merida.

Just returned home after our 2nd visit to Ochenta y Dos. Dave and Patrick always make us feel welcomed, and go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They wear many hats......amazing chefs, tour guide, inn keeper, and general concierge, even making dinner reservations and dental appointments for us! Their home is an easy walk to all the best sites in Merida, or a quick uber ride was an easy way to beat the heat. Their dogs are lovable additions to make your stay feel just like home! Couldn't imagine a better place to spend a week or two!!! Will definitely be back
