Awesome boards! Ody's crew set my entire family up with excellent boards that are perfectly suited to our needs and ability levels. We had no problems working through our order from home in Canada. Our boards were ready as promised by the time we got down to Puerto. They are knowledgeable, skilled and professional. Our experience dealing with Odyboards couldn't have been better.

I got in contact with Ody through a friend who has been visiting Puerto Escondido for a few summers. He had a board made by Ody and so it was a great referral. After a few emails, Ody had an idea of my skill level, and surfing style, and suggested a 6'0 biscuit. I went for the hand made wooden fins, in a quad set up, and Ody quoted for the work. The great thing about having a board made to pick up when you get there is that you don't have to worry about sustaining damage on the outward journey. You also only have to pay for the board to travel one way, which some airlines charge a small fortune for. Travelling from the UK it really isn't too much more than the airfare for the board to have one made, and you get to return home with a fully custom board, designed to your specification. When I picked up the board I couldn't have been more pleased. It was light despite going for the extra glass coat, and the finish was superb. Ody is a real craftsman. The biscuit is a smooth riding board in quad set up, and you can make some super steep sections/takeoffs. One year down the line it's still going strong and looking superb. I'd thoroughly recommend asking Ody to make your Mexico board, It will make your trip.

Great boards with volume in all of the right places. Crazy durable and by far the best value for your money in Puerto. The only surfboards I've had zero regrets about purchasing after years of surfing. While other boards get retired to wall art after a few months of punchy beach break and oyster layden rocks my very first Bilolo remains in the rotation as a testament to the craftsmanship of these boards.

Real good quality board. I loved to surf my Re-Fat board in all conditions and Ody is a real craftsman. If you buy a board in Puerto then this is the place!!!

My family is outfitted with Ody Boards from my 4 year old son, to myself (an avid long boarder), and my husband who surfs both long and short boards. Additionally, we own a surf school and shop in which we teach surfing, rent and buy/sell boards. Most of our teaching boards are Ody as well. As a business, they are professional and easy to work with. Regarding our personal collection of boards, I bought my first Ody Bord slightly used from Ody himself and prior to purchasing, he took the time to assess my skill level (according to me), surf goals, and demographic, in order to ensure that he was selling me a board that would suit me. Our last three surfboards were custom shaped and designed by Ody. Roxanne, Ody, and the team always maintained their professionalism, promptness, and thoughtfulness throughout the entire process. They were always 1 step ahead of us and thinking about certain details that hadn't crossed our minds yet. Roxanne kept me on schedule to ensure that I gave them everything they needed in order to complete and ship my boards within the time that I needed. Moreover, these boards included custom details such as paint, art, and fins that were not easy. I wanted a very specific longboard style and shape with unique detailing, and they delivered beyond my expectation. Needless to say, they pulled through every single time. Throughout the process, rather than simply saying "yes" to everything that I asked for, they would insert their professional advisement, consult, and offer me more plausible options in order to perfect our boards....and perfect they are. I have surfed plenty of mass manufactured boards, and finally having a custom made, hand shaped Ody Board has changed my surfing immensely. The cost was so reasonable especially considering all the extra work that went into our one-of-a-kind boards. In regards to our business, our most popular and successful boards on all skill levels are our Odys. Some of them are his older styles, and still they are so incredibly durable and stable. My husband is constantly on the hunt for used boards for our school and rentals, and Ody Boards hold their value. We are always moving our inventory around, and these boards speak for themselves as they ALWAYS sell. If you're looking for an amazing board at a great price, get yourself a used, new or custom Ody Board and you will never look back. The professionalism on the front and back end of this transaction was first class, and as I stated, the boards speak for themselves.

That wasn't the first time that I went to see Ody in his awesome factory. I actually went there 10 years ago and had a custom shape made by him. I believe he is the taking his work seriously and really lives his passion. He takes his time to go through what is really necessary and best to make your trip unforgettable for you. In comparison to the other places selling boards, trust me I was everywhere, Ody really knows what he is talking about and doesn't just wanna sell you anything. His factory is also something worth to have a look at and see how and where epoxy boards are being given birth. They offer and wide variety of boards and there is surely something para tu gusto. If you have the chance and time, have him make a custom board for you.. Highly recommended to visit if you are in Puerto Escondido !!
