THE LOCATION IS BAD, THIS BRANCH IS INSIDE THE UMBRAL HOTEL, ON VENUSTIANO CARRANZA STREET. Ojo de Agua is playing it safe when it comes to food taste and quality. Lots of food and drink options. Juices, smoothies, coffee and tea. There is food for all tastes. This branch is very comfortable, clean, pleasant, and the people who received us were very kind (Giovanni and Marco). Everything was excellent.

Tasty açai bowl along with fresh Orange juice. Also had a cool vibe inside.

I tried it twice before writing anything, but this is by far the worse Ojo de Agua location I’ve been to, which gives the branch a bad name. You might get lucky of course (i hope you do), and the decor is nice and overall feels calm and provides a nice escape from the busy streets outside. But the food… the food quality is not up to par. Not much traffic in this location and it feels like foods and ingredients are kept longer than they should, many items felt stale, sour, and prepared with zero love, unlike in the other locations around the city. Makes it feel like a ‘tourist trap’ instead of feeling like part of the branch. Specifically, I ordered avocado toast, eggs, (which came with such a disappointing butter-thin layer of avocado, i could see the bread thru it. Bread was stale and hard). in my second visit I got a croissant which was so stale- it broke down into 3-5 day old crumbs. Stomach felt it minutes later. Juices were good and fresh. Don’t get me wrong- I love Ojo de Agua, but I’d skip this location and try the many other great Mexican restaurants around the city center.

Was recommended to try Ojo de Agua by a local for Mexican breakfast. Found this within close proximity of our hotel but the location was marked wrong as it is inside the Umbra Hotel. They had fresh juices and good food!
