★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a unique place. We are vegetarians and gluten free. We had the Jicama Tacos and the stuffed zucchini with risotto. It was all so delicious. This chef has created a unique place and a must try if you like delicious food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bravo! By far, the finest dining experience I have had in a year. I had a desire for Italian food for the past few weeks, and my wife and I decided to give Oliva a try. I had no idea what to expect, because I hadn't heard anything about it one way or another.
But what we got was the surprise of a lifetime. When we arrived, I asked permission to take photos of the log plank tables, the hand hewn bar, and the Italian herb garden. Permission was granted to me. The decor is amazing.
I marveled at the menu, and ordered two different entrees to see if they were up the the task. I wanted to see if the "bite" was everything that the "bark" advertised. I was not disappointed.
I ordered the fettuccine Bolognese, and the blackened sesame salmon.
My wife ordered the grand hamburger, with almost a half pound of meat, and with avocado, lettuce, special sauce... On a sourdough bun. In Mexico. Unbelievable.
Needless to say, we enjoyed our food. Fully chef prepared, and delivered in a very appetizing appearance.
For our drink we ordered hand squeezed orange juice added to sparkling water. A TREAT. Our server made the orange drink himself, taking much care.
For dessert, mildly stewed fresas, blueberries, acai berries and raspberries atop pan tostado with sour whipped cream, delivered on a black slate stone plate.
The finest restaurant in the city, in my opinion.
Oliva: A food lover's paradise.
It's a must-do restaurant experience.
