★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small basic room, but an excellent one. Bed is very firm, but incredibly comfortable. Bathroom is small, but has a beautiful modern shower. With the location, this hotel is an incredible deal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TERRIBLE SERVICE, DO NOT USE THE WAITING MACHINE.
The hotel was nice, good location and it was clean, BUT when we went to go use the laundry facilities that they boasted, it RUINED almost all of our clothes.
There were 3 of us traveling together and we went to do some laundry and the washing machine chewed up all of our cotton and knit fabrics and got GREASE in the clothes.
When I went to tell the staff, including the manager, they just shrugged and said "well it's old" and "we'll look in to it. After 3 days of staying there. Not even a sorry of any sort.
Very unimpressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great value for the price and good location to walk around and explore. 10 min walk from Santo Domingo. Includes breakfast with your booking with is a plus. Staff is friendly and has on site parking that is very convenient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got robbed at gunpoint just outside the hotel while walking to San Domingo. The hotel is not that far from the city center, but the entrance and the neighborhood are not in a safe side of town. The hotel staff was helpful, but they didn't seem very surprised or super-concerned by the event. The police also came out late, and they didn't seem very surprised. When I went to make a report the day after at the "Fiscalia". I was told that assaults toward foreigners are on the increase in Oaxaca, they are receiving many reports. So, perhaps, it is best to choose a hotel close to the main attractions, where you can see there are many police trucks stationed around. I would not recommend this hotel, especially to foreigners.
