Fantastic experience, from start to finish. Based on prior experience, we knew O&O had a unique capacity to deliver top-notch luxury but with a very laid-back, low-key vibe. This property delivered on every level. Can't wait to go back!

Welcome to paradise, this place is incredible. We stayed for three nights in Nov-21 and wished we had stayed much longer. The entire property, from rooms through grounds & spa is spectacular and the service is phenomenal. It is a hefty price tag, but it's such a gorgeous, exclusive resort I thought it was worth it. Of note is the spa which, much like the hotel, is embedded in the surroundings and is an absolute must, both from a facility perspective as well as service. Breakfast at Alma restaurant was absolutely delightful with a rich buffet and excellent menus. Dinners at the other restaurants (Jetty, Carao) were not exceptional and was more in line with some other Mexican resort destination - to me this was the only area of improvement. Still, go and splurge, it's a phenomenal property! Great for couples and honeymooners.

Absolute stunning resort that offers both jungle and beach vibes. The One&Only Mandarina is a top tier resort, which also means it is quite expensive. However, every guest is going to have their own definition of what is a reasonable price. For some this resort is out of reach finically, where others wouldn't blink an eye at the cost. I don't think it is fair to knock off a star due to the cost. Beside, if this resort was a reasonable price, then everyone would be going. Part of the appeal is the exclusivity and luxury. I was aware of some of the kinks or problems other guest had. I witness a few moments where things weren't perfectly smooth. But for the most part my experience was amazing. I would rank the resort a 90/100; fantastic but not flawless. Property: Massive, lush and architectural stunning. The layout and size of facilities never makes you feel cramped or crowded with other guest. In my suite the shower door opened fully allowing me to basically shower outside. Spa: The treatment room for my massage was unreal and unique. The 90-minute massage was very calming and wonderful. There is a mud bath that is free for guest to use, along with sauna and steam rooms. Probably the most beautiful spa I have been to in my life and I have been to many. Suggest booking spa treatments in advance. Host: Every suite is assigned a host to help facilitate dinner reservations, answer questions, book activities, etc. Our host Alfredo always had our best interest in mind. He would check in with us, ensure we had dinner plans, etc.. We had some unique request and Alfredo went above and beyond to fulfill our request. (i.e., we requested to have the same incense from restaurant placed in our room...it smells sooooo good!...he quickly made it happen). Staff: Every single staff member was polite, warm, friendly and engaged in conversation with guest. Activities: I did a free yoga class and rented paddle board. Both were really fun. If there is any activity or spiritual treatment that you must do then I highly recommend reaching out and booking before you arrived. When on site I requested a quantum reading, but there was no one on property that week to perform that treatment. For me it wasn't a big deal since I was able to find other equally enjoyable activities. There is also a butterfly/insect pavilion that the resort barely promotes. It was amazing and there is a super friendly and knowledgeable tour guide there to walk you around. Food: Most of our meals we had were winners (i.e., everything at Carao), but there were a few fails (i.e., pizza). I highly suggest sticking to local Mexican dishes, fish dishes or healthy dishes; these types of dishes were typically very good. The cauliflower tacos (Jetty), octopus tacos (Carao pool), smoked fish and bagel (alma) were our stand outs. The menu is limited when it comes to more "classic American" restaurant standards; you won't find many steak, chicken fingers, burger options. I found the biggest misses were the more American traditional dishes; the pizza was not very good. Buggy: You will read lots of opinions about the buggy system. I under estimated the sheer size of the property. Based on the location of your suite you might be very dependent on ordering the buggys to get you around. It could easily take 5-7 minutes by golf cart to go from one side of property to other. There were a few instances when my buggy would arrive but someone else had been waiting longer for theirs. It can create a bit of an awkward situation. 90% of the time the buggys came within 5-7 minutes. We had one situation, where the buggy battery died on way to get us and they had to send another. But it was during the dinner rush. We ended up waiting 45 minutes to get buggy. But just remember you are on vacation, there is no rush to really get anyway.

Maybe the most beautiful resorts I have seen in the world. The treehouse-style villas with panoramic views maybe 200m above the sea are just stunning. The pool area is perfect to relax, with birds crossing in the sky above you and some mammals climbing the trees. A perfect nature retreat. The only reason to give 4 instead of 5 stars is the food. The menus sound ambitious. But the execution and presentation is poor or boring at best. It is not a well crafted composition of flavours and textures - across Carao, Alma and the beach restaurant. Simple examples: Sweet potatoes advertised as part of a dish, but completely missing. Caramelized nuts were essentially nuts with powered sugar. One side of a chicken was dry as if kept warm for too long. But I have hopes that they will sort it out. Four Seasons at Punta Mita is just so much better in food, so if they take some inspiration from there, they should be good. And I really hope they improve: I plan to come back and hope that by then my highlight isn't anymore the bread they serve (which was really great - and I'm German, I can tell good from poor bread). If that happens, I will happily adjust my feedback. For full transparency: stayed beginning of February and I provided feedback already at the resort to the F&B Manager, so maybe the adjusted something in the meantime.

Great beautiful resort. Food and service were great. Wish they had a lounge open past 10pm. The resort offered many amenities, didn't get a chance to do all of them. The spa here is simply amazing. Resort is slightly remote, that makes transportation highly dependent upon the butler and golf carts. Fyi transportation from PVR airport to resort is at least one to one and half hours. Also resort is on central time, because it borders 2 different time zones.

This place is truly heaven. I have been fortunate enough to travel to many beautiful hotels but this one is in another level by itself. This hotel reminded me of Thailand without having to fly 25 hours away. If you are looking for a very zen experience with yoga, meditation (no partying) this is your place. The spa is nothing like I have experienced before (ladies Benjamin is fantastic), all the Theropist are very educated about all the treatments they do. Book your spa appointments in advance since they will book very fast. I had booked one but ended up getting three massages since it was so amazing. Yes this is a huge property and getting around with a buggy might take some time but this by itself is the beauty of this place. I wouldn't go with a group since all the rooms are far away from each other. We loved hanging out by Jetty day club, it's truly breathtaking. If the management asked me how they could improve, I would really have no suggestion for them. But I would ask to add two extra yoga and meditation classes daily to their afternoon program since I loved them so much. Thank you one and only for the best 4 nights ever. I shall return god willing.
