One Playa del Carmen - 77710 Playa del Carmen

I spent my last night at One before catching my flight the next day. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The room is incredibly small, we could barely open our luggage. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The included breakfast was very basic. Very close to the ADO station, a few blocks from Quinta Avenida (less than 10 min walk). I think it was okay for a night, but I won't spend more than that there.

They cancelled our room that we reserved without notice, and did not offer alternative measures. We gave them an approximate time of arrival of midnight~1AM, of the next day of booking but arrived at 1:40AM due to the ADO bus taking longer to arrive at the hotel than expected. Upon arrival they were dismissing us saying that all rooms are currently full. Apparently they have a "system" that cancels the booking when it hits 1:30 AM the next day. We were not at all informed of this, and arriving close to 2AM past midnight after 5 hours of bus, we were really tired. We did not know if we were charged (Booking.com requested card payment online and not "on-site," so we assumed that we already payed for the room.) We tried asking for clarifications if our card was charged. The front desk person not only was rude, but also very terse and unhelpful. He wrongfully informed us that our credit card was charged, and that we cannot get our money back. He said the booking was "non-refundable" with broken English. It was my first time ever walking into a hotel and hearing that our reservation has been cancelled because we arrived less than half an hour later than the EXPECTED ARRIVAL TIME. OF COURSE WE CAN ARRIVE LATER THAN THE "EXPECTED" ARRIVAL TIME; THAT'S THE REASON WHY IT'S CALLED "EXPECTED." We had to leave the hotel and ended up searching around Playa del Carmen at 3AM in the morning to find other hotel rooms, because of this incompetent hotel and front desk personnel. If you would like to get your hotel room canceled at 2AM in the morning (even after giving them a close enough approximate arrival time) after traveling 5 hours, and hear that your reservation of $130 USD was non-refundable, then this hotel is for you. Shame on you guys.

The worst place ever. We booked the hotel and told the employees that we’ll be arriving at 1-2am. We arrived at 2:05 and they said our room was canceled because of no show. 2 in the morning with no hotel in the middle of the foreign country. Really? I honestly think they gave it to someone else. We booked the room for 2 days and paid everything. Even if we no showed, they got all our money anyways.

Nice and cozy place. Not a luxury hotel and small rooms, but just to get some rest during the night is perfect. It is just two blocks from 5th Avenue You have breakfast starting at 7am

I've stayed here a few times over the years as it's across the street from the bus terminal. Like all One Hoteles the rooms are efficient and clean The breakfast has a good variety. There's no pool but you can walk to the beach in 15 minutes. The guy working the front desk (I think his name was Ramon but don't recall) was phenomenal. Very friendly and helpful. Good for a 1 to 3 night stay.

It's an OK place to stay. You have a good location, near 5th avenue and supermarkets. You also have ADO bus station a block away which can help you connect with other cities. Hotel has free breakfast, rooms are not the biggest, but if you just need a place to stay, the price will be worth it.

Don't bother with this hotel. The pictures are nice, bright and lively. İt's anything but...
