Tomamos el tour que incluía: hierve el agua, El Tule, Mitla, Teotitlan y fabrica de mezcal, todo por $250 por persona, en general el viaje estuvo muy bien, pasaron por nosotros al hotel, nos cuidaron las mochilas, salimos puntuales, personal amable y atento. Sin embargo nos cobraron $50 antes de llegar a hierve el agua, ya nos habían comentado sobre esto, pero en la entrada al lugar decía que el precio por persona era de $25 pesos. Otro punto a considerar es de que a mitad del tour se realiza una parada para comer en tipo bufete con un costo de $160 por persona más bebidas, considérenlo porque solo se hace esa parada y a ese lugar para comer, la comida no es tan buena. Recomiendo llevar un poco de dinero extra o investigar antes porque las opciones de compra en los lugares visitados son muy tentadoras.

DO NOT BOOK the Day of the Dead tour! We have been backpacking for the last 6 months and this is the first time we feel compelled to write a harsh review. From the beginning the experience was uncomfortable and disorganized. We met at 830pm and were walked to our van, where we were packed in as tightly as possible. Then we were made to sit there for 20 minutes while two other vans were packed. Of the 5 hour tour we had no idea we would end up spending 3 hours of it sitting in the van, much of it by the side of the road waiting, as the policy seemed to be all vans must travel together. We were driven to 2 different cemeteries in little communities outside Oaxaca, with no explanation or guidance about where we were going or why. If it weren't for Google maps on our phones we would have been completely lost. Unlike the tour description, we had no guide, so no information was given about the traditions, customs or locations, and the promised mescal never appeared. We could have had a much better, more comfortable, and cheaper experience if we had just hired a taxi or driver to take us. When we complained as a group we were told there was nothing that would or could be done. We can't get back the 5 hours of our time or our money, but hopefully we can save someone else from this painful experience!
