We came to Acuña to get some prescription glasses made for my wife. Due to the extreme complicated astigmatism of my wife's eyes, her glasses and exam typically set us back about $300 to $500 in the states. On top of that, the lenses are never cut correctly and she goes through some back and forth with the opticals to try and get them corrected. She usually falls back to a ten year old set of glasses that are somewhat decent. She recently had some new glasses cut in Nuevo Progresso about $45 but they too did not pan out. We came accross this place after visiting a handful of other Optical and Optometrists in Acuña. The glasses and exam costs us $110 but after many many failed attempts, we finally found a place that successfully produced a working pair of glasses. Not only did they get It correct on the first attempt but it only took one hour. For Mexico, these were on the high end, cost wise. However, they are a fraction of the price that we would have paid back home. This owner has two locations around the corner from each other. We will definitely be coming back for a second pair soon.
