★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The people who live up there are very nice and kind. Not very easy access. Camping in the outskirts of the volcano is possible with some equipment and a little understanding of navigation. Steepest mountain in Mexico.

If you are debating between staying at the Servimont in Tlachichuca or Orizaba Mountain Guides, make the right call and go with OMG - you will not be disappointed. Oso Roberto and his crew will make sure you not only have a successful summit, but a successful trip overall. Everything was A++. Six Stars. Thanks for everything!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OMG is THE ONE for several reasons. 1. SERVICE: The service is exceptional, very client centred and your trip will be tailored to your needs. They provide transportation and all meals. The food was delicious and fresh, the facility was very clean, hot showers, beautiful garden. 2. STAFF: from the owner Roberto, to the cook, the driver, the helpers (shout out to Juan Carlos) and my favourite, the guide Juan. The cook (I feel so bad about forgetting her name) would always check in with me to see what time I would like to eat my meals! 3. GUIDE: ask for Juan. He is so good natured, attentive, considerate and just a very genuine human being. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and safe. 4. PRICE: even the price is reasonable!! It’s actually cheaper than some other companies I looked at!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found out about OMG through other climbers online and had a great experience with them. The hostel is clean and has hot showers and good meals. The team is great and willing to assist in any manner to make sure you have a good time and accomplish the mountain the way you want.
