One can sit alone at the bar (quality barmen) or at a table with 12 of your closest and the staff ensures your time here is enjoyed. The superb Thai menu makes it a must for anyone visiting San Miguel who may not like feel like another taco.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to eat real Thai food, the flavors are awesome, fresh ingredients and very kind people, if the dish says that is spicy ? is really spicy, the place is cossy and play good music with the proper level, the owner that is also the chef was super nice and change the dish because was too spacy for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Might be more like 3.5 and one of the more expensive restaurants I ate at in San Miguel de Allende. Nice ambiance. Quickly ordered the red curry, Thai basil, Tom Yum and won ton soup. Food took a little while to be served and there was only one other table being served. The won ton soup was very flavorful, the Thai basil was very tasty and the red curry with fish was really okay. Enjoyed our meal but I thought it was a little expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have eaten in hundreds of Thai restaurants but this is one of the worst. The pad thai is very salty and missing necessarily ingredients. The satay is cooked chicken meat and the peanut sauce doesn't taste like peanuts. In addition, quite expensive. Be smart: don't do it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun little spot. It’s underground so we didn’t think much of it but we’re pleasantly surprised by a good array of options. The owner grows all of the vegetables in her farm. If you like Thai and friendly atmosphere, check it out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love Thai curries, but not the thick sauced kind found outside of Thailand. You will find authentic, lovely, light curries here. I had tom kha soup and my husband had green curry with chicken. Both dishes were over-sized, filled with fresh herbs and vegetables and could be prepared Thai spicy. The owner is lovely and grows the produce on her ranch outside of SMA. Go and try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food tasted really good; it’s actually been a while that I had a “proper“ Tom Kha soup like this. - Speaking of “proper”, however, I wasn’t fully convinced by its quality since not all of the vegetables were entirely fresh (e.g., some salad leaves were brown at the cut, and the cauliflower seemed slightly old as well). Also, the menu card looked quite scrubby, why I wanted to refrain from meet/fish dishes. For me, this will be a one-time only visit (what is a shame because the taste was really good), yet, there is huge potential, and I hope this review will motivate Orquidea Thai.
