THANK YOU SO MUCH!! From Anne & David Tivey (Calgary, Alberta, CANADA) We had such a wonderful experience with Óscar Velásquez Tours, that a ‘Review' was absolutely necessary to submit upon our return home. We were there from Mar 3-11, 2020. I was given Óscar’s name by my neighbour here in Calgary, Alberta (Sharon & Steve Valley) and this is how I was introduced to him & his Tour Company. Óscar and I had communicated through Facebook before our departure & he promptly picked us up at the Huatulco Airport. He was so welcoming & friendly & spoke excellent English. He drove us in a new 15 passenger van & so kindly had a cooler filled with cold water. He was a wealth of information about the area & all the different excursions we could do over the 8 days that we were there. He was so flexible & accommodating to all that we wanted to do. He drove us to Salchi, a little town 20 mins away, to our Hotel (The Manta Raya- great 7 room boutique Hotel right on the water with a 5 Star Restaurant!). We then arranged to have a full day Tour and this ended up being the ‘highlight’ of our vacation. 2 days later, “Jaime Martinez” of Óscar Velásquez Tours picked us up at 09:00 in the morning in this new van (air conditioned, cooler with water) and we had the greatest day all the way to 6:30 at night. Jaime spoke excellent English & he was so friendly, fun & so knowledgeable about ‘everything’ (the area, the history, customs, traditions, vegetation & even the animals). Jaime is actually “Dr Jaime” as he is also a Veterinarian. We started our day driving to Pachutla where we enjoyed wandering through “The Market” as Monday is Market Day. Very interesting to see all the colourful fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, herbs & all the Goods for sale. This was a lot of fun as everyone seemed to be happy as goods were traded, shared & bought. After this, we drove up into the mountain and the views were spectacular. The vegetation & plants became more lush & green the higher we climbed. At the top of the mountain, we stopped at Finca Don Gabriel in Pluma Hidalgo and enjoyed a fabulous “authentic’ Mexican Plate lunch. The service was excellent & the food so good & so plentiful. I had never eaten anything wrapped in banana leaves before, but I did here, and it was so tasty! We then visited a 'Coffee Bean Plantation'. We learned about the plants & when the beans are ready for harvesting. Also learned about a lot of other plants & saw banana trees, torch flowers, & tasted “cocao’ beans. Jaime was so knowledgeable & he taught us a lot. We then stopped at the “Best” Coffee Shop & sipped such great coffee & bought some bags of these delicious beans!! After all of that, the day was still not over as we drove to Santa Maria Huatulco. We enjoyed a tour of this “old town”. When visiting the Towns, we were given tours of the Government/City Hall buildings & the beautiful Churches. It was evident & so nice to see just how “proud” Jaime is of his Culture & Country. We cannot express just how much we enjoyed & appreciated our time spent with both Óscar & Jaime while in the Huatulco area. They opened our eyes to so much and we would highly recommend their Tours. Fantastic Tour. Oscar was an amazing guide. Not your basic manufactured tour you get from the resort. He takes you to all the best places, and educates you on every last thing you look at. The time you book is yours to what you'd like to do. So accommodating!! I highly recommend booking a tour with Oscar. The bamboo straw gift from Oscar were the envy of our friends when we got back to the resort!!

We had the trip of a lifetime with Oscar to see turtles come ashore and lay their eggs. He was extremely knowledgable on the subject as he is very involved with the conservancy projects on the coast of Oaxaca. I can't imagine our tour being what it was without him. He is knowledgable, involved in the community, his English is immaculate, and he is a wonderful person who is easy to get along with. I can only see any day spent with Oscar, for any activity, as being a wonderful day that will make your trip to Huatulco much more fulfilling.

Don't look further than Oscar and his team. During our week in Huatualco we took two excursions with them, airport transfers and trips to meals and I can say without a doubt: they are the best transport and tour organization we've ever done business with. We were traveling with three kids, 3, 6, 8 years old. From quick and seamless communication for booking, great rates and quick and friendly arrival, we knew right away we'd work with Oscar and his team throughout the week. After a couple days relaxing and easy text conversations with Oscar, we booked a trip with Fabian to the Turtle Sanctuary in Escobilla. Fabian quickly became like part of the family, providing tons of great information, flawless service and a safe, comfortable and enjoyable trip. A couple days later we booked with him again, this time spending the day exploring nearby bays, including a beautiful snorkel adventure at Playa La Entrega, lunch at Maguey Bay and shopping back in Huatulco. Fabian came with us the whole time, and it was honestly more like an old family friend who knew the area (and everyone in it), as well as all the best adventures. Finally, we spent our last afternoon with Jaime, who took us for some Oaxacan food specialties in Huatulco before dropping us at the airport. As with everyone else with the team, Jaime "jumped right in" with the family, making us feel welcomed and taken care of, anticipating every need, and making the trips and all the coordination of traveling with kids quick and easy. We've traveled a lot of places in Mexico and around the world, and are excited to share our experience with Oscar and his team here, and hope others are able to do the same!

Recently met Oscar in Huatulco. Best non planned driver, our entire family could have asked for. He was so attentive to our kids and family who did not speak Spanish. His English is very good! We visited for 8 days and had the pleasure of having him show us around. His vehicle is super clean and well air conditioned. The best part of having him as our driver, was the knowledge he had of the town. He was born and raised in Huatulco and knew of all the best restaurants and sites to visit. Driving encyclopedia for sure!!!!!! Oscar is very personable! We went on several excursions and made sure he joined in. It was very easy being around him. Definitely coming back and booking Oscar as our tour guide.

We traveled in January 2020, My husband and I initially planned to book Oscar for airport transfers as he had come highly recommended to us, but then we realized that he offered such great tours. Oscar and his team that we were in contact with (Zella, Ricardo, Jamie ) were absolutely professional from beginning to end of our experience and made us feel very welcomed. They are proud of their area and the work and are very knowledgeable and it shows. We were picked up at the airport by Oscar in his immaculately clean van stocked with refreshments and we chatted about the area on the drive as we had never been to Huatuclo. Oscar happily answered all our enthusiastic questions and is absolutely knowledgeable about local history. We booked a Pochutla Market tour as well as a Huatuclo city tour and thoroughly enjoyed the drive, the conversations, the sights and sounds of the busy market and city where we sampled amazing food and even lucked out and tracked down my favourite fruit, passionfruit. We also toured a beautiful church and had a mezcal tasting which was really nice. If we ever wanted to make a stop enroute to our destination, Oscar and his team were happy to do so, so we got to check out places and experience even more than we had expected. We especially loved our stop at Playa La Bocana where we met a fisherman bringing in his catch of sardines. We highly recommend Oscar Tours Huatulco for all your tour and airport transfer needs and cannot wait to travel back to this beautiful area to experience more.

Oscar and Zella made our last minute trip to Huatulco a pleasure by making us feel very comfortable with the airport transfers happening in a seamless manner ,on time and very professional! I had contacted other transfer companies and either they were way overpriced ,couldn't answer a simple question and kept trying to up sell me. Then I found Oscars tours and after short conversation I knew we were with the right people! Zella reassured me about how safe Huatulco is, how friendly people are and highly vaccinated wearing masks in the towns, hotels etc. I just want to thank them for everything and next trip we will definitely be using Oscars Tours for the transfers and a couple of tours as well!

I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to tell others about the amazing experience that my son and I had with Oscar Tours during our father and son Fall Break trip 2021. Oscar and his staff were our personal guides for the entire week. Oscar speaks beautiful English, and he also helped my son and I with our Spanish. Oscar provided us transportation to and from El Zocalo in La Crucecita every night, where we'd eat local food and shop at local stores. Oscar was always on time for pickups and his vans were super clean. He gave us great suggestions for local places to eat and where the best shops were located. We never had to take a taxi on our trip, rather we simply called Oscar and he handled all of our transportation needs, including pickup and drop-off at the airport. Oscar took us on a full day trip to Las Cascadas Majicas. He personally went through the river and waterfalls with us, and showed us all the beauty of the mountain community. He took us to a lovely coffee plantation where we had a delicious lunch of the best mole chicken you could imagine topped off with the freshest coffee in the world. Oscar is a true environmentalist and is a wealth of information. My son and I learned so much from him on our adventures together. We also did a full day tour with Oscar where we visited la 7 bahias by boat. He took us to the best snorkeling areas and gave us all the time we wanted on each of the secluded beaches we visited. We are already planning our next trip to Huatulco, and Oscar Tours will be a big part of our visit!
