★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a tour being operated by OTISA, the man driving bus 408 on July 4th - not even a "tour" more like a rude driver dropping you places and not explaining anything. Even worse was his driving was so bad he made 2 women on the bus literally sick to their stomachs. When one asked to pull over the driver declined and said for her to open the window and he would pull over when it was safe on the curvy road. He then proceeded to pass countless safe side curbs to pull into and did not. Not until the women was literally banging on the door begging. When we all got back in after one of the waterfalls the same women opened the window for fresh air and he tried to make her close it because "there is only one of her and more of us (referring to the fact that he wanted to use the air con not the windows) Jesus he was miserable and rude. That man needs to learn how to drive and properly use his breaks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall good experience from San Cristobal de las Casas to Palenque. The tour ran 30min late at 4am which isn't fun. But good driving and efficient and friendly driver made up for that. Would recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was not exactly a tour. It was a Spanish Madar only, stopping for lunch wherever he wanted and making a free lunch, no explanations, and worst of all my shoes disappeared and I sat in the seat next to the driver. Now when I read all the interesting comments that "locals" recommend and tourists do not really recommend. Do not recommend at all and if you have already decided to take a trip keep your belongings close even if the descent from the car for a short observation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish I could give this company ZERO stars. We took two tours with this company. The first one was to the Sumidero Canyon - short trip but bearable as it was just a drive to the Canyon and a boat trip ( the driver is just a driver to get your there and back). The second was a much longer trip to Montebello Lakes/ El Chifon. Basically it was a glorified taxi service which would have been preferable to the cramped, maskless and confined hell that we had to endure. The driver wore his mask around his chin and did not enforce the unruly bunch that refused to wear their masks in the minivan saying that "Covid" didn't exist etc. The usual ignorant blather.
The Montebello/El Chifon tour was a 14-15 hr trip with about 8 hours of driving with 2 hrs at the waterfall, 40 mins for lunch and 20-30 mins at 3 lakes to take pictures or souvenir shopping. Total waste of time overall. Go on your own, if possible, and avoid putting yourself at risk. I HIGHLY DON'T recommend this tour company based on personal experience. Nightmare!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did a tour with them to Canyon de Sumidero, which was OK even if the last village is not really worth it. Make sure to take your food it is extra expensive there!
Second tour we were willing to book was to Palenque, but while they announced 530 pesos per person on one day and when we came back to book, they changed the price to 600 pesos per person! You can find cheaper elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took a tour for Palenque, agua azul and misol-ha and indegoneous towns two different tours and it was a bad experience. The first tour guy would find any excuse to scam us, with food he told us there wasn't any place to eat in Palenque so we had to eat in misol-ha which there was only one restaurant, the sides were horrible the mojarra was good but they take you to those places because the tour guys get a commission plus they eat free and he made us eat around 12 pm which was too early for us. He lied to us basically we found out from someone in a convenience store that there was places to eat in Palenque which there was. He asked us for our bracelet in Palenque probably to re sell which was Soo annoying, this guy was a joke. ALSO the tour guy told us to take a tour but it's cheaper if u take a tour from a kid or teenager, I didn't enjoy so much the tour. The second tour they told us they would pick us up at 9 am in the historic downtown mind you that the first tour they told us to be patient since we would pick everybody in different hotels which we understand but the second one they told us 9 am historic downtown and that's it, well we waited 30 min and the reception wasn't doing anything, when the guy arrived he told us because he had to pick up people from the hotels which they didn't tell us and we weren't picked up from the hotel.
Suggestions:
make sure you ask if they will pick you up in your hotel, they usually say if it's far from the historic downtown it will take longer so make sure you have all the information you need.
If you want to save money take your own food or make sure you don't eat in the places they stop to eat which is not cheap and the kind of food they offer is food u can eat anywhere, is not regional from the area maybe a few things but it's cheaper in a food stand Palenque they have a lot of small places to eat.
The places were beautiful and it's worth it to take a tour but read a review first before you do

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve taken a tour to Canyon de Sumidero. The price was a little cheaper than the other agencies. The tour was very well organized and crew members were kind. However, for English speakers - no crew member on the tour speaks English, including the instructors, so beware. The stay at Chiapa de Corzo (at the end of the tour) was a bit too long for our taste.
