★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oxxo convenient store, very busy because of its location corner 30th ave and calle 15, for locals and tourists. Similar to 7/11, Maks and others. They are all over Playa Del Carmen and mostly identical.
Beer / wine / tequila at cheaper prices, colas, juices, water, energy drinks, ice, chips, some products for the house and so on.
For tourists, you can purchase refurnished pre-paid phones. Need minutes, ask the cashier and you will be able to recharge your phone based on your network provider in Mexico.
Friendly staff mostly served in Spanish...they may not always be smily but, they are very helpful.
If you want to purchase alcohol and you are not sure if you can, ask them if it is too late...some Oxxy stores offer extra hours !!
